Job Summary
Join the Audi F1 Project as a Component Responsible Engineer for Internal Combustion Engine within the Quality Management department. Based in Neuburg, Germany, you will focus on the turbocharger, ensuring component quality throughout its lifecycle from development to high-performance power unit. Must Have
- Presenting and representing quality-related aspects during the design phase
- Selecting suitable suppliers and supplier qualification
- Defining measurement and testing methods for component inspection
- Performing, evaluating, approving, and documenting component tests
- Handling complaints with external suppliers
- Conducting component analyses and contributing to damage analysis
- Creating acceptance criteria, test instructions, and incorporating lessons learned
- Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable
- In-depth knowledge of internal combustion engines (crankshaft and valve train)
- Comprehensive analytical thinking and system-level understanding of internal combustion engines
- Experience in quality assurance and working with external suppliers
- Solid IT skills (MS Office, SAP)
- Assertiveness, high motivation, and initiative
- Good command of English and experience collaborating with international suppliers
- Several years of professional experience in automotive or motorsport sector

Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.
Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The new team has three locations. The Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Motorsport Technical Center, UK will be operational this year. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is to be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).
Within the Quality Management department, you will work on the key component - the internal combustion engine - with a focus on the turbocharger, contributing to competitiveness in a highly challenging environment. From the development and manufacturing of individual parts to the finished high-performance power unit for motorsport applications, you will accompany the components throughout their entire lifecycle. As part of the QA component responsibility team, you will ensure the required component quality and be involved in dynamic and complex damage analyses within the context of the F1 hybrid powertrain system.
Your Mission
- Presenting and representing quality-related aspects during the design phase in collaboration with technical development
- Selecting suitable suppliers in cooperation with procurement and technical development, including supplier qualification
- Defining appropriate measurement and testing methods for component inspection
- Performing, evaluating, approving, and documenting component tests
- Handling complaints with external suppliers
- Conducting component analyses and contributing to damage analysis and root cause elimination processes
- Creating acceptance criteria, test instructions, and incorporating lessons learned
Your Profile
- Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field of study
- In-depth knowledge of internal combustion engines (crankshaft and valve train)
- Comprehensive analytical thinking combined with a strong system-level understanding of internal combustion engines
- Experience in quality assurance and in working with external suppliers
- Solid IT skills (MS Office, SAP)
- Assertiveness, high motivation, and initiative as part of a small team with direct communication and a high level of personal responsibility
- Good command of English and experience collaborating with internationally active suppliers
- Several years of professional experience in the automotive or motorsport sector
