Your New Role…
TNT Sports has a fantastic opportunity to work with Bleacher Report and TNT Sports covering, learning and creating sports content during MLB All-Star Week as the Conectando Campeones fellow.
The Conectando Campeones fellow will jump right into the world of sports and social covering the MLB All-Star Game with B/R Walk-Off, and will use their strong social media and content creation skills with Bleacher Report, House of Highlights, and assist in the production of the fan-favorite vodcast “On Base with Mookie Betts.”
The ideal candidate is a motivated bilingual (English and Spanish) college junior or senior year student or entry-level professional who aspires to work in the sports and/or digital media industry. The candidate will have social content creation skills and an understanding of the intersection between sports and culture. This rewarding opportunity will offer valuable experience and strengthen the selected fellow’s professional portfolio as they move up in their career
Duties could include day-to-day social media operation of B/R Walk-Off, interviewing players and creating content at MLB All-Star week, creative brainstorming along with Bleacher Report and House of Highlights brands, being involved in the production of an episode of “On Base with Mookie Betts”, and more. This is a short-term, temporary role supporting MLB All-Star.
Your Role Responsibilities…
Content identification, content creation, content packaging and content curation for B/R Walk-Off brand’s social media accounts.
Covering and assisting in the overall coverage of MLB All-Star week. This includes brainstorming, content pitching, content creation, conducting interviews, assisting with camera or being on-camera talent, and video editing.
Contributing to the Bleacher Report and House of Highlights brand through brainstorming, content pitching, content curation and more.
Assist in the production of an episode of “On Base with Mookie Betts”. Doing research, building out show notes, brainstorming of content ideas, and potential behind-the-scenes content creation if on-site.
Qualifications and Experience…
Must be passionate about sports and able to demonstrate it
College junior or senior or early career level
Strong editorial values and attention to detail is crucial
Confident working in a fast-paced environment covering elite sports
Must speak and write fluently in English and Spanish
Confident and/or experienced in speaking to athletes, celebrities and others behind the camera and/or on-camera
Entry level, 1-3 years experience in video editing for social content
Understanding of TikTok-native and IG-native content, trends and creators
Understanding of Bleacher Report, B/R Walk-Off and House of Highlights’ voice and brands
Knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram and TikTok
Weekend and evening work to be expected in certain areas of this role
Travel for events in the summer for MLB All-Star Week expected throughout the course of this role
Work environment will be mostly outdoors at a baseball park
Please note that this is a temporary opportunity and would run for a duration of three months in a part-time capacity.
