The Controller oversees all financial functions, ensuring fiscal management, compliance, and strategic planning. This role supervises accounting staff and partners with leadership, HR, and program teams. Key responsibilities include managing financial transactions, leading monthly closings, preparing financial reports, monitoring financial performance, maintaining internal controls, preparing tax filings, leading grant budgeting, ensuring grant compliance, overseeing payroll processing, partnering with HR for benefits administration, supporting system implementations, collaborating with various teams for budgeting, and developing vendor relationships. The Controller also leads the accounting team, promoting a positive, high-performance culture.
Good To Have:- Nonprofit and grant management experience preferred.
Must Have:- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in leadership.
- Proficiency with financial tools (ADP, Sage Intacct, Blackbaud, Salesforce, Excel).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle access.
