Job Description

As a Copywriter, you will be responsible for interpreting briefs, generating ideas, and writing compelling copy for various platforms, especially social media. You will collaborate with Art Directors and other departments to create work that is culturally relevant and meets business goals. You should be able to work independently, manage your time effectively, and stay updated on industry trends. The role involves adapting voice and tone for diverse brands, contributing to video storytelling, and embracing both bold ideas and day-to-day assignments. You will need to develop and defend strong creative direction and demonstrate a deep understanding of how to concept, write, and adapt copy for specific social channels.

The role:
Our Copywriters are curious, culture-savvy thinkers who ask “why?” and “what if?”—and then write to find out. You’ll partner with an Art Director to turn insights into concepts and ideas into compelling, channel-aware work. You bring a social-first mindset and know how to flex your craft across platforms—writing for the speed, tone, and trends of TikTok, Instagram, Meta, and beyond. Social is your first language, and you edit with the audience in mind. You think and write in motion—bringing humanity and relevance to every brief. Responsibilities:

  • Interprets briefs clearly and responds with smart, culturally relevant ideas and writing.
  • Seeks clarity to understand the assignment, feedback, and business goals.
  • Generates and sells conceptual ideas with minimal oversight—then makes them real.
  • Collaborates early and often across departments to elevate the work.
  • Builds relationships across disciplines to strengthen creative outcomes.
  • Owns deliverables, manages time, and meets deadlines with autonomy.
  • Communicates progress regularly and flags issues when needed.
  • Partners with Art Directors and Designers to align copy with visual tone.
  • Delivers work that’s impossible to ignore—from concept to final execution.

Management:

  • Works independently within agency hours and remote expectations.
  • Proactively communicates offline time with appropriate notice.
  • Submits timesheets on time.

  • Upholds high standards in craft, clarity, and detail.
  • Develops and defends strong creative direction throughout production.
  • Brings fresh, provocative ideas rooted in pop culture and platform trends.
  • Writes effectively across media, with a strong grasp of digital and social.

  • Contributes to video storytelling from script to production.

  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of how to concept, write, and adapt copy for specific social channels, leveraging platform norms and audience behavior.

Culture:

  • Values diverse perspectives and actively engages in DEI efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, or Advertising/Portfolio school preferred.
  • 2–5 years agency experience.
  • Portfolio that proves conceptual thinking and standout writing across mediums—especially social
  • Proven ability to craft and optimize copy for TikTok, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
