  • Certificate or Diploma in motion graphics or related field
  • Fluent Spanish at a professional level
  • 4-7 years of project management experience
  • Solid understanding of production and creative development
  • Experienced on multichannel campaigns
  • A professional and approachable demeanor
  • Ability to manage small projects on time and budget
  • Demonstrates problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent oral and written English

What does a Creative Editor do at Hogarth? 

Hogarth Worldwide is seeking a seasoned creative editor to join our content studio team in Detroit to join the Makerhouse team. As a Creative Editor, you'll be at the forefront of transforming ideas into captivating visual narratives. Collaborating closely with talented teams, you'll refine and enhance creative concepts, ensuring they resonate with audiences globally. From video editing to graphic design, your expertise will shape campaigns for renowned brands, pushing creative boundaries and delivering excellence.

Reporting lines and key stakeholders: 

This role reports to the Managing Director.  

 You will work closely with Production, Client, and Edit teams.   

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced technical expertise to finalize and version key video assets for Makerhouse.
  • Collaborate closely with creative executives and producers to implement requested creative changes while maintaining the highest standards.
  • Receiving the different assets needed to create a final piece from audio, colorists, and others to form all aspects into the final product needed.
  • Partner with internal post-production teams to quality check each edited package, ensuring visual perfection and on-time delivery.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, actively contributing to the implementation of new editing techniques and workflows.
  • Conduct technical aspects such as conforming, overlaying type, legal lines, end cards, audio integration, and color correction within Premiere Pro.

Requirementes

  • Certificate or Diploma in motion graphics design or a related artistic field
  • Able to read, write, and speak fluent Spanish at a professional level
  • 4-7 years of project management or production experience in an agency or similar environment
  • Solid understanding of production and the creative development process, content production, technology, quality assurance testing and marketing methodologies
  • Experienced on multichannel campaigns
  • A professional and approachable demeanor, and the ability to thrive in the dynamic highly matrixed agency environment
  • Ability to manage small projects or components of complex project, demonstrating ability to deliver on time and on budget
  • Can show experience in bottom-up scoping of projects, creating project budgets, tracking actuals, and creating statements of work
  • Demonstrates an ability to solve problems with the solution that works for all stakeholders without compromising the quality of the deliverables or the project
  • Accountability and calm, confident presence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Natural and effective collaborator
  • Fluent oral and written English
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, client focused and proactive
  • Team player able to execute tasks independently
  • Deep sense of curiosity and a passion for asking questions
