Job Description

As a Customer & Partner Solutions Engineer, you'll bridge business needs with technical constraints, creating innovative solutions for Google's 3P authentication and authorization systems (like Sign-in With Google and OAuth). You'll investigate technical solutions for lifecycle events, identify gaps, and develop tools/dashboards for efficiency. Responsibilities include authoring technical documentation, managing stakeholder expectations, and collaborating with internal/external partners to deliver technical solutions. You'll build subject matter expertise in the identity space, providing advice and solutions to stakeholders. The role demands strong technical troubleshooting, coding (Java, C/C++, Python), and experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP).
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
  • Client-side web tech experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Coding experience (Java, C/C++, Python)
  • Technical troubleshooting and partner management
  • Develop and implement technical solutions
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in related field
  • Analytical role experience (BI, data analytics)
  • Database technology experience (SQL, NoSQL)
  • Experience with authentication/authorization protocols
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience in technical support, professional services, software development, or product operations management.
  • Experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • Experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in an analytical role such as business intelligence, data analytics, or statistics.
  • Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience implementing web or mobile operating system authentication and authorization protocols.
  • Ability to collaborate, build consensus, deliver, and drive technical decisions with both internal and external stakeholders.

As a Customer and Partner Solutions Engineer, you will balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects. You will be focused on delivering excellent customer care.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $94,500-$139,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Investigate technical solutions needed for the roll out of life-cycle events (e.g., launch, deprecation, migration) for Google’s first- party/third-party authentication and authorization solutions such as Sign-in With Google and OAuth.
  • Identify technical gaps, recognize patterns, and surface opportunities for solution reuse or new innovations to help. 
  • Author technical integration documentation and communications to developers/partners. Implement tools or dashboards to track and improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate with internal teams and external partners to provide technical and business feedback as well as deliver technical solutions.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in the identity space to provide advice and solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.
