Job Title: Cybersecurity Automation Engineer

Job Description

Overview: A Cybersecurity Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions to enhance an organization's cybersecurity posture. This role will work closely with the internal security team to develop automation within security tooling and manual processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation scripts and tools for security operations.
• Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency
• Create automated incident response workflows to quickly mitigate security threats.
• Integrate automation tools with existing incident response platforms.
• Develop and implement automated solutions for threat detection.
• Integrate automated systems with threat intelligence platforms to identify and respond to emerging threats.
• Implement automated monitoring solutions to continuously assess the security posture.
• Utilize automation to correlate and analyze security data from multiple sources.
• Work closely with IT and security teams to integrate automation solutions into existing systems.
• Document automation processes, workflows, and security incidents.
• Generate reports on the effectiveness and outcomes of automated security measures.
  
  

Qualifications

• 6+ years working in a DevOps environment using CICD pipelines
• Background in deploying IaC and ephemeral cloud services
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, PowerShell/Bash
• Experience deploying automation using cloud services such as Lambda and Azure serverless
• Experience scripting using REST APIs integrating with security tools
• Strong understanding of network protocols, security architectures, and threat landscape.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
