Noetic Strategies Inc. is seeking a Cyber Specialist IV to provide mid-level information Cybersecurity support at Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. The role involves applying advanced knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, processes, practices, and procedures. Responsibilities include supporting enterprise cybersecurity standards, developing and implementing cybersecurity standards and procedures in coordination with the government, and recommending security processes. The specialist will also recommend cybersecurity solutions to meet customer requirements, identify and report security violations, and satisfy cybersecurity requirements based on policy, regulatory, and resource demands. The position requires supporting customers at high levels in policy and process development, applying expertise to common user systems and specialized systems, and supporting the design and development of security features for system architecture. The role includes analyzing and recommending security requirements for various computer systems, supporting the design, development, engineering, and implementation of solutions that meet requirements, and providing integration and implementation of computer system security solutions. The specialist will analyze general cybersecurity-related technical problems, provide engineering and technical support, and support vulnerability/risk analyses throughout the system development lifecycle. The core duty is to perform all necessary procedures to ensure the safety of information systems data assets and protect systems from unauthorized access or destruction, ensuring all information systems are functional and secure. Familiarity with domain structures, user authentication, digital signatures, and firewall theory/configuration may be required. The ability to balance business needs against security risks and communicate issues to management is essential.
Must have:

  • Ability to pass a Public Trust investigation.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONISIBILITES
  • Mid-level information Cybersecurity support.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
  • Supports enterprise Cybersecurity standards.
  • In coordination with Government develops and implements Cybersecurity standards and procedures.
  • Coordinates, development, and recommends security processes for an organization.
  • Recommends Cybersecurity solutions to support customers' requirements.
  • Identifies and reports security violations.
  • Recommends and satisfies Cybersecurity requirements based upon the analysis of CSPP, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
  • Supports customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of processes and policies.
  • Applies know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures.
  • Supports design and development of security features for system architecture requirements.
  • Analyzes and makes recommendations of security requirements for computer systems which may include mainframes, workstations, and personal computers.
  • Supports designing, development, engineering, and implementation of solutions that meet CSPP requirements.
  • Provides integration and implementation of the computer system security solution.
  • Analyzes general Cybersecurity-related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems.
  • Supports vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle.
  • Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems data assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access, theft, or destruction.
  • Ensures that all information systems are functional and secure.
  • May require familiarity with domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures.
  • May require understanding of firewall theory and configuration.
  • Must be able to weigh business needs against security risks and articulate issues to management.
