Job Description

The Data Acquisition and Quality Admin is required to proactively enhance business processes that involve student data and help optimise the student lifecycle. You will co-manage student data quality improvement processes and projects that will maximise conversion rates, operational efficiency, revenue enhancement and client satisfaction.
Must have:
  • Respond to request to source new data assets, evaluate their relevance, quality, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the wider data teams to integrate acquired data into the organisation’s data systems.
  • Gather data requirements from internal stakeholders and ensure acquired data meets business needs.
  • Maintain QS data acquisition logs including detailed documentation of data sources, acquisition processes, and data quality measures.
  • Deliver accurate and timely data processing, transformation, and input, including monitoring data integration flows, to enable data integrity in enquiry management and conversion activities.
  • Manage a queue of data requests using internal systems (Jira, ZenDesk, etc), and complete tasks in line with internal service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues in compliance with data guidelines and protocols, within any systems used, and other integrated systems.
  • Responsible for data monitoring, matching and reconciliation processes as required.
  • Proactively identify and implement automation in data processing to increase process efficiency, reduce errors and improve operational performance.
  • Implement process improvements based on data and insights to streamline and maximise conversion rates, operational efficiency, revenue enhancement and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure up-to-date metadata and related business process documentation as required.
  • Participate in creating user stories, test cases and other activities to support technical enhancements in student data systems, including any system used and other integrated systems.
  • Have a good understanding of client data and mapping of data to QS systems.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Client, Student, Marketing, Finance, HR, etc. teams to manage data operations or data quality projects to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Update regular reports on data acquisition activities, data quality status, and key performance indicators.
  • Adhere and advocate data privacy and confidentiality in line with the company’s Data Governance policies.
  • Participate in Data Governance activities as needed.
  • Any other additional duties as required.
Good to have:
  • Preferably possess at least a Bachelor’s degree and/or above in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics.
  • Familiarity with data tools, BI software, scripting or SQL will be preferable.

As a Data Acquisition and Quality Admin, this is what you’ll be doing:

The Data Acquisition and Quality Admin is required to proactively enhance business processes that involve student data and help optimise the student lifecycle. Role responsibilities:

  • Respond to request to source new data assets, evaluate their relevance, quality, and reliability.

Key skills and experience:

  • Preferably possess at least a Bachelor’s degree and/or above in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to take responsibility and initiative for own work.
  • Ensure quality of own work and able to QA team members’ work to ensure whole team delivers quality data.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with data tools, BI software, scripting or SQL will be preferable.
  • Good communication (English) and interpersonal skills, engaging and collaborative.
