Job Description

Ruby Game Studio, part of Rovio Entertainment, is seeking a Data Analyst to join their 30+ member team. This role involves partnering with product, design, and development teams to shape game direction using data. The analyst will define key metrics, design experiments, analyze player behavior, and explore large datasets to find insights. Responsibilities also include leading data strategy, developing dashboards, and sharing actionable insights to drive player engagement and growth. The position requires strong experience in free-to-play mobile games, advanced skills in SQL, Python, or R, and a deep understanding of experimentation methods.

Good To Have:

Professional experience in analytics roles within hyper/hybrid or casual games industry and/or Mobile Marketing and User Acquisition.
Experience with ETL processes.

Must Have:

Partner with product, design, and development teams to shape game direction using data.
Define key metrics, design experiments, and analyse player behavior to guide feature development and liveops.
Explore large datasets to find insights and opportunities that boost gameplay and business results.
Lead the data strategy for the game, ensuring alignment with overall product goals.
Develop and maintain key dashboards and KPIs to monitor game health and performance.
Share clear, actionable insights that drive player engagement and growth.
Contribute to strategic decision-making by providing clear, evidence-based guidance.

What You’ll Bring:

Partner with product, design, and development teams to shape game direction using data.
Define key metrics, design experiments, and analyse player behavior to guide feature development and liveops.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Strong experience as a data analyst in free-to-play mobile games.
Advanced skills in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis and visualization.
Strong academic foundation in data processing and advanced statistical analysis.
Deep understanding experimentation methods, including A/B testing, statistical inference, and hypothesis testing.
Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently.
Confident in presenting data and insights to different teams.
Experience with data visualization tools and exploratory analysis.
Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).

Plus if you have:
