The Data Center Tech II is responsible for the day-to-day operation of real-time transaction-based wagering systems, ensuring all computer systems run according to schedule and quality guidelines. This onsite role involves operating production systems, performing batch processing and tape backups, and troubleshooting critical system issues. The position supports field staff, retailers, and the Lottery, requiring strong problem-solving and communication skills to resolve various situations and maintain an aggressive call volume.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must live locally to Middletown, PA, and surrounding area.
  • This is a 100% onsite position.
  • Ability to work non-standard shifts and fill-in as needed.

Position Summary

\*MUST LIVE LOCAL TO MIDDLETOWN PA AND SUROUNDING AREA, THIS POSITION IS 100% ONSITE\*

\*This is a Weekday Shift - Hours are Wednesday - Friday, 6am - 7:50pm \*

The position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of real-time transaction-based wagering systems. An Operator will operate all computer systems in accordance with established schedules and quality guidelines. This position will support the field with troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Job Functions:

  • Ability to work a non-standard shift and fill-in for shifts, as needed.
  • Operate all computer systems in accordance with established schedules and quality guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail is required to ensure all aspects of the operational environment are maintained.
  • Prioritize nightly processes to ensure performance of time critical schedule.
  • Run all programs for production systems.
  • Provide batch processing and tape backups.
  • Ability to problem solve and gather data to troubleshoot and resolve critical system issues.
  • Maintain accounting controls for tapes produced.
  • Must be able to run web-based vendor systems for E-Commerce products.
  • Log and report problems to management.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks as assigned.
  • Ability to work with field staff, Retailer-base, and Lottery to troubleshoot and resolve different situations.
  • Ability to maintain an aggressive call volume.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in LINUX, Microsoft products, and Windows based systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies.
  • Strong time management skills.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships.

  • Must have average organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and stretch at a minimum of 50% of the time for any or all of the movements described.
