The Crown Is Yours

We’re looking for a Data Engineering Manager, Games to lead a team focused on delivering innovative, scalable data solutions for our Casino product. This is a people management role with hands-on technical responsibilities — you’ll support and grow a team of talented Data Engineers while staying close to the code and helping drive technical direction. You’ll work closely with Technical Program Managers, Software Engineers, and Delivery Managers to power data products and reporting capabilities that are core to the Casino business. A strong sense of ownership is essential — you'll be responsible for setting the tone, driving accountability, and ensuring your team delivers high-impact work with excellence and consistency.

What you'll do as a Data Engineering Manager, Games

  • Manage and mentor a team of Data Engineers, driving career development, performance management, and team culture.

  • Lead your squad to deliver high-quality, high-velocity solutions across the Casino domain.

  • Stay hands-on: contribute to the codebase, provide architectural guidance, and help unblock your team on technical challenges.

  • Ensure all data solutions are designed and built to be scalable, testable, and high-performing.

  • Drive and facilitate technical design discussions, offering strong verbal and written contributions.

  • Champion team health, fostering open communication, collaboration, and a strong sense of ownership.

  • Adapt quickly to business needs and shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment.

What you'll bring

  • 3+ years of technical management experience, including direct people management (career growth, coaching, performance reviews).

  • Strong background in Data Engineering with hands-on SQL experience across data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.

  • Strong experience with cloud data warehouse systems (such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery); Snowflake experience is a major plus.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Kafka, Airflow, Terraform, Python, and Datadog.

  • A leadership style that combines technical depth with strong mentorship and team-building skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage technical and non-technical audiences alike.

  • Experience in the casino gaming, sports betting, or other relevant industries is a plus.

  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a bias toward action and continuous improvement.
