Job Description

We are seeking an innovative, analytical thinker and salesman to develop and sell Data Products for the CEMEA region, supporting our Data Science team in MENA. The role involves driving top-line revenue growth and market adoption of Data Products, leveraging strong commercial acumen and payments industry knowledge. Key responsibilities include developing data products, exceeding sales targets, building customer relationships, managing sales pipelines, and negotiating terms. The position requires understanding clients' card business and positioning Visa Data Products as solutions, with a strong focus on customer engagement and internal collaboration.
Must have:
  • Develop Data products for clients
  • Exceed aggressive sales targets for Visa Data Products CEMEA accounts
  • Create and develop sustainable long-term relationships with key customers
  • Maintain business opportunities and build a pipeline from qualification to revenue delivery
  • Leverage internal resources and marketing programs to engage stakeholders for successful opportunities
  • Demonstrate understanding of clients’ card business
  • Develop sales approach positioning Visa Data Products as solutions
  • Negotiate pricing, discounts, and contractual terms
  • Create and execute change management requirements, implement best practice
  • Maintain focus on internal efficiency and functional collaboration
  • Lead initiatives impacting customer engagement, advocate 'customer first' approach
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in data product development and sales
  • Masters / Bachelor's Degree in Quantitative field (Business Management, product engineering, Statistics, Mathematic, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering)
  • Bi-lingual in French and English
  • Experience selling analytical and data solutions, software, SaaS, Professional Services
  • Ability to interpret different data sources and identify course of action
  • Expertise in analyzing and managing closed-loop marketing/sales processes
  • Significant customer relationship management and influencing skills
  • Ability to skillfully prioritize and manage concurrent projects and issues
  • Self-starter, well-structured, and solution oriented
  • Committed to service excellence and exceeding client expectations
  • Achieves results by driving self and others using sound processes
  • Works across boundaries and in partnership to achieve goals
  • Identifies growth areas/new opportunities by anticipating future needs/trends

Position Summary

We are seeking an innovative, analytical thinker and salesman to develop and sale Data Products for the CEMEA region, support our Data Science team in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region based in Abidjan, Cote D'Ivoire. The candidate must possess strong commercial acumen and payments industry knowledge to drive top line revenue growth and overall market adoption of Data Products across the region to support Visa’s aggressive growth targets for Value-Added-Services - VAS. Sellers in this context refer to issuers, acquirers, enterprise merchants, payment facilitators and marketplaces who have or intend to utilize Visa Data services and solutions into their offerings.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Help developing Data product for the clients.
  • Exceed aggressive sales targets for Visa Data Products CEMEA accounts.
  • Create and develop sustainable long-term relationships with key customers.
  • Responsible for maintaining business opportunities and building a pipeline of activity from initial qualification to delivery of revenue.
  • Leveraging internal resources and marketing programs as well as industry knowledge and personal sphere of influence to ensure all internal stakeholders are appropriately engaged to ensure successful conclusion and implementation of key opportunities.
  • Demonstrating experience in understanding clients’ card business.
  • Developing sales approach by positioning Visa Data Products as solutions addressing clients’ needs
  • Negotiation of pricing and discounts as well as contractual terms within set parameters.
  • Create and execute against change management requirements, implement best practice and maintain as strong focus on internal efficiency and functional collaboration. Lead initiatives which have a direct impact on customer engagement and be an advocate of a 'customer first' approach.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Professional Qualifications and Experiences

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the data product development and sale area.
  • Masters / Bachelor's Degree in a Quantitative field such as Business Management, product engineering, Statistics, Mathematic, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Bi-lingual person who speaks fluent French and English.
  • Experience in selling products or solutions, preferably analytical and data solutions, software, SaaS, Professional Services. Payment services experience strongly desired.
  • Ability to interpret different data sources and extrapolate learnings and identify possible course of action / correction.
  • Expertise in analyzing and managing closed-loop marketing/sales processes.
  • Significant customer relationship management and influencing skills in a solution sales environment.
  • Must be able to skillfully prioritize and manage concurrent projects and issues.
  • Self-starter, well-structured and solution oriented.
  • Committed to service excellence and added value through exceeding client expectations and anticipating client needs. Works in close partnership with clients to achieve their aims and develop a mutually beneficial working relationship.
  • Achieves results by driving self and others to achieve results and surpass goals using sound processes that reflect governance discipline and efficiencies.
  • Works across boundaries and in partnership with others to achieve goals.
  • Identifies growth areas/new opportunities for business by anticipating future needs/trends in industry. Seeks out intern.
