Job Description

As a Dedicated Partner Manager for Podcasts at Patreon, you'll cultivate strong relationships with top creators (18+ content), ensuring their success on the platform. Responsibilities include building trust, partnering with internal teams (Trust & Safety, Legal, Product), driving earnings and product adoption, coaching creators on platform usage, and advocating for their needs within the company. You'll analyze data, develop strategies, and creatively solve problems to support creators' business growth and maximize their engagement with fans. This role requires experience in creator management, 18+ content, and revenue growth, along with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Job Details

Patreon is a media and community platform where creators give their biggest fans access to exclusive work and experiences. Over 300k creators are cultivating fandoms and building their businesses each month. Creators can offer free memberships to fans looking to explore more of their work, paid memberships to give access to exclusive media and community, or sell directly to fans with Shops.

Ultimately our goal is simple: fund the creative class. And we're leaders in that space, with:

  • 8B+ earned since Patreon's inception

  • 30M free new memberships in the first year of launching that option, and

  • 10M fans paying each month for exclusive access to creators' work and community.

We're continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator products with the best team in the creator economy and are looking for a Partner Manager, to support our mission

This role is a Remote friendly role or open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model in our San Francisco or New York office.

About the Role

What you will do:

  • Build trusted creator relationships: Every day you’ll work with our largest 18+ creators and earn their trust that the Patreon platform and team is essential to unlocking the earnings and connection with their fan base that allows their creative business to flourish. 

  • Partner with Trust and Safety, Legal, Policy and Compliance: As the sole Partner Manager on our team focused on 18+ creators, you’ll be a key voice in the room on decisions that affect our 18+ creators. You’ll help craft the strategies as well as co-develop resources for how best to support our top 18+ creators. 

  • Partner with Product: You’ll be embedded in product pods working to expand our feature offerings to Patreon’s 18+ creators, ensuring that your creators’ voices are heard.

  • Drive earnings and product adoption: Across your portfolio, accelerate each creator’s growth trajectory by coaching them on how best to use product features, as well as increase traffic to their Patreon page, improve fan-to-member conversion rates, and maximize long-term retention of existing members..

  • Level up creators’ product mastery: Coach creator teams on how to use the Patreon platform, new product launches, and third-party integrations to achieve their membership goals.

  • Creatively execute on cross-functional solutions: Work with creators in your portfolio to address their unique business-critical needs and goals through motions like enrolling in product testing with Product Marketing, setting up feedback sessions with Product, working with Data Science on additional data reports and more. 

  • Inspire evangelism for Patreon: Translate the investment we make into strategic creators into the strength of their advocacy for Patreon, driving more fan and creator interest in the platform.

Skills and experience you possess:

  • 3+ years of experience in creator success or creator management: Experience managing deep, long-term partnerships with a small portfolio, particularly with creators making sensitive 18+ content.

  • 3+ years of experience in 18+ content and/or trust and safety management: Comfortable viewing sensitive, disturbing and offensive content on a daily basis. Mental toughness and resilience to maintain a healthy work life balance.

  • Product and revenue expansion: Proven success in an environment with revenue and/or product adoption growth targets with each managed account.

  • Applying data insights to customer needs: Digging into insights about performance and translating them into customized, actionable steps for customers.

  • Cross-functional partnerships: Strong relationships and execution with internal stakeholders across marketing, communications, customer support, product, product marketing, data science, engineering and more. 

Projects you may work on:

  • Revamp of a creator’s tiers to drive more member acquisition and sustainability for the creator

  • Partner with a creator to develop a plan for content and promotion in conjunction with a major launch for their fans

  • Identify creators who would be a good fit for early testing of new product features, collaborate cross functionally to enroll them and ensure a positive experience, providing essential feedback to the product team

  • Partner with product teams to share insights from your work with creators, advocating for their feedback and needs, and influencing go-to-market strategies that affect your portfolio

  • Partner with trust and safety teams to design the process for identifying and addressing top creators with violative content, and design education resources to help them avoid those scenarios

Compensation Range: $119K - $161K
