Forescout delivers automated cybersecurity across the digital terrain, helping customers manage cyber risk through automation and data-powered insights. This Director of Cloud Operations role leads a U.S.-based team, overseeing commercial and federal cloud operations, including FedRAMP High and IL5 clusters. Responsibilities include driving compliance, cost optimization, team management, and strategic planning for Azure environments, ensuring 24/7 support and operational readiness.
Must have:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of commercial and federal cloud clusters, including FedRAMP High and IL5 environments
  • Ensure operational alignment with SOC2, IRAP, and FedRAMP documentation and audit standards
  • Lead and mentor DevOps and CloudOps personnel, including onboarding, training, and performance management
  • Manage cloud spend across Azure environments, including forecasting and budget adherence
  • Maintain 24/7 support coverage models, incident response protocols, and observability tooling
  • Own operational documentation for audits and certifications, including SSP contributions and handoff materials
  • Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to align cloud operations with business goals and platform scalability
  • U.S. Citizenship (required for federal compliance)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years in cloud operations with 3+ years in a leadership role with excellent management experience
  • Deep experience with Microsoft Azure, including RBAC, VNet peering, and Terraform-based infrastructure
  • Excellent background in software development and DevOps practices
  • Proven success managing compliance programs (FedRAMP, SOC2, IRAP)
  • Experience with multi-region cloud deployments and single-tenant architectures
Good to have:
  • Experience supporting IL5 or other high-assurance federal environments
  • Familiarity with GitLab, LaunchDarkly, and observability platforms
  • Prior work with Coalfire or similar audit partners
  • Knowledge of certificate management, DNSSEC, and secure image quarantine practices

What You Will Do

Forescout Technologies is seeking a seasoned Director of Cloud Operations to lead our U.S.-based cloud operations team supporting both commercial and federal environments, including FedRAMP High and IL5 clusters. This role will own the operational footprint across multiple cloud environments, drive compliance and cost optimization, and manage a growing team of Cloud Operations engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Operations Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations of commercial and federal cloud clusters, including FedRAMP High and IL5 environments.
  • Compliance Ownership: Ensure operational alignment with SOC2, IRAP, and FedRAMP documentation and audit standards.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor DevOps and CloudOps personnel, including onboarding, training, and performance management.
  • Cost Optimization: Manage cloud spend across Azure environments, including forecasting and budget adherence.

What You Bring To Forescout

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship (required for federal compliance).
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years in cloud operations with 3+ years in a leadership role with excellent management experience.
  • Deep experience with Microsoft Azure, including RBAC, VNet peering, and Terraform-based infrastructure.
  • Excellent background in software development and DevOps practices.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid role with preference for Dallas Metro area.
  • Collaboration across distributed teams in North America and India.
  • Occasional travel for audits, planning sessions, and team coordination.
