Technical Writer

Forescout is seeking an engaging and employee-focused Technical Writer to join their cybersecurity team. This role involves writing technical content to drive customer success, evolving technical writing guidelines, working in an Agile environment, and collaborating with various stakeholders to create and update documentation beyond standard development-centric content. The successful candidate will also actively contribute to their team's learning and growth.

Must Have

• Write technical content focused on driving customer success and enablement.
• Help evolve technical writing guidelines and playbooks for different formats and channels.
• Work in an Agile environment with frequent release cycles.
• Work closely with non-traditional stakeholders to create and update content beyond standard, development-centric documentation.
• Take an active role in your team’s learning and growth.
• 3-7 years of experience developing end-user documentation for cloud-based SaaS products, with some overlap with on-premise software.
• Keen interest in learning the technology and tools used in creating technical content.
• Proficiency with Oxygen, GitHub, Markdown.
• Passion for creating technical content that speaks to all levels of users and solves problems.
• Comfortable with Agile practices and being part of a scrum team.
• Ability to multitask and manage projects.
• Understanding of the importance and impact of cybersecurity.

What You Bring to Forescout

• 3-7 years of experience developing end-user documentation for cloud-based SaaS products, with some overlap with on-premise software as our technology evolves.
• Not only are you a writer, but you have a keen interest in learning the technology and tools used in creating technical content.
• Words like Oxygen, GitHub, Markdown, storytelling, and customer success match up to different wrenches in your toolbox.
• You have a passion for creating technical content that speaks to all levels of users and solves problems they didn’t know they had.
• You’re comfortable with Agile practices and being part of a scrum team (or two). Multitasking and project management will serve you well here.
