Your Impact

As Director of Professional Services for Outpost and Lightpost, you will lead the strategy and execution of Axon’s field infrastructure deployments—powering mission-critical solutions across public safety and municipal agencies. You will own the end-to-end customer experience from planning through go-live, while building the operational backbone to scale installations efficiently, compliantly, and at a high level of quality. This is a high-visibility role that blends leadership, field operations, and cross-functional influence to drive real-world impact.

What You’ll Do

Location: US based Axon hub sites (Atlanta, Boston, Denver, San Francisco, Scottsdale, or Seattle metro areas)
Reports to: Senior Director, Hardware Deployments

• Lead and scale the Professional Services team responsible for deploying Outpost and Lightpost solutions across agencies nationwide.
• Own the full deployment lifecycle—from site readiness and permitting to installation, testing, and customer go-live.
• Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales, Support, and Customer Success to ensure smooth handoffs and unified execution.
• Develop scalable delivery models, including playbooks and best practices for internal teams and third-party partners.
• Build and manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring performance, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Track and improve key metrics (e.g., time-to-deploy, customer satisfaction, cost per install, vendor SLAs).
• Act as a strategic escalation point for field issues and customer delivery challenges.
• Translate field feedback into actionable insights for product development, roadmap prioritization, and process improvement.
• Ensure deployments comply with safety, regulatory, and permitting requirements across regions.
• Support long-term growth planning through resource forecasting and go-to-market collaboration.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of experience in professional services, field operations, or deployment leadership—5+ years in a senior management role.
• Proven success scaling complex hardware/software deployments, ideally in infrastructure, smart city, IoT, or public safety sectors.
• Deep knowledge of permitting processes, site planning, vendor management, and field delivery models.
• Strong operational mindset with a track record of building scalable systems and repeatable playbooks.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while driving clarity and outcomes.
• Experience working with law enforcement or government agencies is highly preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed for high-priority deployments and customer engagements.
