AECOM is seeking Electrical Engineering professionals for contracting opportunities in their Queensland offices (Brisbane, Mackay, and South Townsville). The role involves providing services across the entire project lifecycle for the Resources + Industry business line, including concept to detailed design, engineering, project management, and decommissioning. Successful candidates will contribute to mining and minerals processing projects, supporting clients in achieving net zero emissions. This is an opportunity to join a Tier 1 Engineering Consultancy and work with world-leading technical experts in a collaborative environment, contributing to delivering a better world through infrastructure projects.

Job Description

At AECOM, the ‘Resources + Industry (R+I)’ business line offers services that span the entire project life cycle. From concept to detailed design, engineering and project management for execution and commissioning phases, as well as decommissioning and closure of existing operations.

Our broad global and collaborative approach assists the industry as it faces new challenges in greenfield and brownfield mining and minerals processing, and we are supporting our clients on their journey to achieving net zero emissions.

In our Queensland offices (Brisbane, Mackay and South Townsville), we are welcoming 'expresisons of interest' for Electrical Engineering professionals who prefer contracting opportunities, either on a casual or medium to long-term basis.

We are looking for technical experts confident to bring your skills and experience to a world renowned, Tier 1 Engineering Consultancy.

Led by collaborative leaders, you will be working with world leading technical experts who are passionate and creative and proud to be part of a company that is dedicated to delivering a better world.

What are we looking for from you?

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with experience for a consultancy or an operating mining processing facility
  • Experience in the design and specification of mining plant, infrastructure, materials handling and fluids handling systems and equipment
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills 
  • Experience in delivering successful project outcomes from initiation to execution demonstrating commercial acumen throughout
