Job Description

As an Embedded Testing SDET at Motive, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated tests and test environments for Motive products. You'll need to analyze requirements, set up test automation frameworks, develop and implement automated tests, and track/report testing activities. You'll also assist in maintaining testing tools and the Continuous Integration process. The role requires a passion for data, problem-solving, and improving software quality within a team. This is a critical role to ensure technology functions efficiently and effectively. Experience with object-oriented languages, tools/frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins is a must.
Must have:
  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Language (C++, C#, Python)
  • Experience with Playwright, Selenium, Rest Assured, Git
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous development tools
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience

About the Role: 

We are looking for a meticulous SDET who will be responsible for the design and implementation of automated tests and test environments for the Motive products. The Engineer must have a passion for diving into data, technology, be a problem solver, and have a desire to improve software quality within a team environment. This role is critical to us in ensuring technology functions efficiently and effectively, minimizes errors, and helps to meet software quality goals.

What You'll Do: 

  • Analyze and understand requirements, business use cases, technical requirements
  • Set up and maintain test automation frameworks.
  • Develop and implement automated tests.
  • Track and report upon testing activities, including testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, performance baselines, etc.
  • Assist in performing any applicable maintenance to tools used in Testing and resolve issues if any.
  • Update reporting tools with testing results.
  • Assist with Continuous Integration process

What We're Looking For: 

  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Language.( C++, C#, Python, or any other .Net framework).
  • Knowledge of tools/frameworks: Playwright, Selenium, Rest Assured, Git, Gradle, Bazel, Docker, Jira, Cypress, Pytest.
  • Experience in working with Continuous Integration/Continuous development tools  i.e Jenkins, Bazel, Tekton. 
  • Effective communicator, positive attitude, dedicated, team player
  • 6 + years of professional software development experience.
