Job Description:

Duration: 12 weeks, starting May 26 or June 8

As an Emerging Technology Developer Intern, you’ll join a collaborative engineering team working on a wide variety of software R&D prototypes with a major focus on AI. You’ll receive mentorship, hands-on experience, and opportunities to grow your skills in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Experience:

• Collaborate with experienced engineers on impactful projects
• Explore areas such as Generative AI, Machine Learning, Block chain across the full software stack
• Contribute in an agile development environment that focuses on creativity
• Engage in career development sessions, networking events, and our in-person Launchpad event at our PA headquarters

Technologies you may learn include:

• Languages: Python, Javascript/Typescript, Java, C#
• Frameworks: Azure OpenAI, React, Spring, Fast API, Echo, .NET
• RDBMS: PostgreSQL, SQL server
• NoSQL: MongoDB, CosmosDB, AuroraDB
• Runtimes: Kubernetes, Docker, Linux
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, OCI

What We’re Looking For:

• Curiosity and enthusiasm for new technology and continuous learning
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript
• Experience with API and Generative AI technology
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
• Ability to apply foundational computer science principles to high-performance, real-world problem-solving (e.g. OOP, algorithms, data structures, data stores, CI/CD, test automation, AI/ML)
• Basic understanding of operating systems, networking, and cloud infrastructure

• Students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields

• Prior experience as a software development intern is preferred

Pay Transparency Statement:

US Base Salary Range: $28.00 - $31.00

Base pay offered to new hires may vary based upon factors including relevant industry and job-related skills and experience, geographic location, and business needs.* The range displayed does not encompass the full potential of the role, which allows for further growth and career progression.

In addition, as a part of our total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Vertex Bonus Plan (VOB), a role-specific sales commission/bonus, and/or equity grants.
