Western Digital is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Engineer for fresh graduates, with onboarding scheduled for January 2026. The role involves designing and developing assembly processes, creating process instructions, and managing parametric data for mass production. Must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and engineering software (e.g., SolidWorks, JMP, Minitab).
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of Hard Disk Drive assembly process.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and develop assembly processes, including process instructions and parametric data for mass production
  • Develop and implement systems to monitor process and tool performance, qualifying equipment and materials as needed
  • Perform process failure analysis and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues affecting product or process performance
  • Establish assembly process strategies to ensure process control and mitigate known issues prior to product launch
  • Continuously improve manufacturing processes through data analysis and problem-solving techniques

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering, or related field

SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and technical engineering software (e.g., SolidWorks, JMP, Minitab)
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Fluent in English with ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of Hard Disk Drive assembly process is optional
