We are looking for a skilled CIM Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) systems, ensuring smooth operation and integration of computer-controlled manufacturing processes. You will work closely with engineering, production, and IT teams to ensure the effective functioning of automated manufacturing systems and support the implementation of new tools. Key Responsibilities:
- System Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of CIM systems, including hardware, software, and network components.
- Identify and resolve system malfunctions or inefficiencies in the automated manufacturing process.
- Work closely with the IT department to resolve software or network issues affecting production operations.
- System Integration & Support:
- Support the integration of new CIM technologies, software, and automation tools into the production process.
- Assist in the implementation of system updates and upgrades to ensure continued functionality and efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff on CIM systems and automation equipment.
- Process Optimization:
- Analyze manufacturing data to identify areas for process improvement and support the implementation of solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve automation processes and enhance productivity.
- Provide input into the development and optimization of CIM-related processes, ensuring maximum efficiency and quality.
- Programming & Configuration:
- Assist in the programming and configuration of automated manufacturing equipment and robots.
- Work with engineering teams to develop and modify software programs to improve machine performance.
- Ensure that CIM systems are configured to meet production specifications and requirements.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of system configurations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting logs.
- Generate reports on system performance, issues, and improvement actions.
- Assist in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for CIM system operations and troubleshooting.
- Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that all CIM systems and related equipment are operating in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct safety checks on automated systems and report any potential hazards.
- Promote a safety-first culture in the manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in automation, robotics, or manufacturing technologies are a plus.
- Experience:
- [3]+ years of experience working with CIM systems or in an automation-related role in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with automated machinery, robotics, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and other manufacturing technologies.
- Experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of CIM systems and related software.

- Strong understanding of computer-integrated manufacturing systems and automation technologies.
- Proficient in programming languages such as PLC, Python, or other relevant automation languages.

- Good communication skills to explain technical issues and solutions to non-technical staff.
