Job Description
As an Enterprise Cloud Architect at Google Cloud Professional Services, you'll work on transformational projects, designing cloud-ready infrastructure and application architectures. Responsibilities include migrating, building, modernizing, and maintaining applications on Google Cloud Platform, troubleshooting platform challenges, and providing leadership in customer delivery, scoping, and estimating services. You'll lead technical teams, deliver on customer objectives, and support Google Cloud product implementation. This role requires strong technical expertise in cloud architecture, migration planning, and a deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform's capabilities. You will also be responsible for engaging with customers, providing technical guidance, and overseeing technical delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.

Must Have:
- 7+ years customer-facing experience
- Cloud architecture and migration expertise
- Software development experience (Java, Python, Go)

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience performing customer-facing services focused on translating enterprise customer needs into cloud architectures and approaches.
- Experience writing software in one or more languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, etc.).
- Experience developing software or internet Infrastructure/migration solutions in virtual environments.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience designing and deploying distributed data processing systems with one or more technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Hadoop, etc.).
- Experience with cloud architectural capabilities with enterprise use cases.
- Experience with standard IT security practices (e.g., identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate and key management).
- Experience working with channel partners, systems integrators, and third-party developers to deliver solutions.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, with experience automating infrastructure provisioning, Developer Operations, or continuous integration/delivery.

- Provide customers with knowledge and leadership focused on enterprise-wide cloud architecture and migration planning for both scoping and during delivery.
- Recommend and document migration paths, integration strategies, and application architectures to implement complete solutions using best practices on Google Cloud, drive the capturing, developing, and sharing of best practices internally and externally to accelerate implementation.
- Engage with customers providing a single technical point of contact for the customer into the consulting delivery team.
- Provide technical architecture and enterprise-wide Google Cloud subject matter knowledge.
- Oversee technical delivery, customer satisfaction, and accurate estimation of customer outcomes in partnership with the Delivery Executive and Program Manager.
