Job Description

As an Event Associate, you will assist, and in some circumstances, lead and deliver a wide range of events and studio bookings. The role requires planning and collaboration with multiple client-facing teams, internal stakeholders, and senior management, external clients, and an array of vendors and partners. The ideal candidate will have a consistent track record of event administration, creation, and management. Responsibilities include ensuring a successful client experience, end-to-end planning and delivery of events, post-event reporting, and providing onsite and offsite support. The role is a 6-month fixed-term contract and reports to the Manager of Events.

  • Experience in event or marketing creating and producing events.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills, interacting with executives and clients.
  • Ability to conceptualize ideas and execute them effectively.
  • Comfortable leading contracts, including terms and conditions.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

The Role; Event Associate – 6 Month FTC

The events management team sits under the Corporate Affairs & Marketing (CAM) group within LSEG and leads the planning and execution of corporate, internal and commercial events and experiences, ranging in size and varying degrees of complexity. As an Events Associate, you will assist, and in some circumstances, lead and deliver a wide range of events and studio bookings, which build on new and existing client relationships, supporting client retention goals, and deliver significant, face-to-face engagement opportunities for our client-facing teams.

The role requires planning and collaboration with multiple client-facing teams internal stakeholders and senior management across LSEG, external clients and an array of vendors and partners to support the delivery of events. The ideal candidate will have a consistent track record of event administration, creation and management.

The role reports to the Manager, Events and must be based in London.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of the Event Management team, your focus will be contributing to and supporting the planning, management and delivery of a wide range of events and studio bookings across the group:

  • Ensure a successful client experience and highly qualitative outcomes for the LSEG team, clients and customers.
  • End to end planning and deliver of corporate, partnered, commercial and internal events and studio bookings
  • Post-event reporting and documenting, as required
  • On and offsite support for key events.
  • Ability to navigate between virtual and in person event execution.
  • Support the wider team with the more complex events, as required

Candidate Profile / Key Skills

  • Experience of event or marketing experience creating, handling and producing high-touch, outstanding meetings and events
  • Team spirited, friendly, confident individual with a highly professional demeanour including excellent interpersonal and networking skills; confidence to interact with executives and top-tier clients
  • Ability to conceptualize ideas and see ideas through to execution
  • Comfortable leading contracts including terms and conditions, liability, indemnification, attrition, etc.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with an engaging and diplomatic manner
  • Highly resourceful, creative and self-motivated
  • Ability to stay calm and composed under pressure in a client-facing environment
  • Interest and experience in staying current on all aspects of event production and execution
  • Experience working with the latest tech requirements
  • Delivery focused with strong attention to detail and high-quality standards, coupled with the ability to balance multiple demands, handle shifting priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work flexible hours (early starts and late finishes) to meet the demands of the role
