Job Description

As an intern on the embedded software test team, you will work on products for world-class customers, ensuring thorough testing and reliable deliveries. Responsibilities include creating and executing test plans during pre-silicon and post-silicon phases, identifying and debugging issues with team members, developing and maintaining automated test scripts and regression test suites, and contributing to enhancements of the internal automation framework. This internship is for the fall semester and requires full-time availability.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in relevant field.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
  • Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (Python/shell, C, C++, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (both in spoken and written English).
Good to have:
  • Understanding of MCU and DSP cores/processors.
  • Understanding of software testing and test automation principles.
  • Familiar with defect management practices.
  • Familiar with SDLC.
  • Familiar with Jira, svn/git, and Continuous Integration systems (e.g., Jenkins).

 As an intern on the embedded software test team, you will work on products that are delivered to world-class customers and ensure that they have been thoroughly tested and deliveries are rock-solid! 

Responsibilities: 

    • Create and execute on test plans during pre-silicon and post-silicon phases of the product 
    • Find issues and triage/debug them with team members in the software organization 
    • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and regression test suites 
    • Work on the internal automation framework enhancements 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering  
    • Knowledge of embedded systems and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) 
    • Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as (Python/shell, C, C++, etc.) 
    • Excellent interpersonal skills (both in spoken and written English) 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

    • Understanding of MCU and DSP cores/processors 
    • Understanding of software testing and test automation principles 
    • Familiar with defect management practices 
    • Familiar with SDLC 
    • Familiar with Jira, svn/git, and Continuous Integration systems (e.g., Jenkins)
This opportunity is available for the fall semester only. It is available only to students currently enrolled in a BS or MS program in Electrical Engineering, maintaining a GPA of 3.6 or above, and who will be returning to school for at least one semester following completion of his/her internship. The candidate must be available for full-time employment during the internship.
