Job Description

Cirrus Logic is seeking a Summer Intern - Silicon Validation and Characterization Engineer to support the development and production of mixed-signal and analog semiconductor integrated circuits. This hands-on internship offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers, contribute to real-world projects, and gain exposure to the full product lifecycle. The intern will collaborate to solve challenges and contribute to product development in a fast-paced, supportive environment during a 12-14 week full-time schedule in Summer 2026.
Good To Have:
  • Experience in scripting languages, Python preferred
  • Knowledge in data analysis using tools such as (Spotfire, JMP, PDF, Excel)
  • Knowledge of IC or board-level test and failure analysis
Must Have:
  • Assist engineers with the development and production of mixed-signal and analog semiconductor integrated circuits
  • Develop electrical bench and ATE Python test scripts
  • Gather and summarize data
  • Design and build test hardware
  • Interface with cross-function groups to manage NPI production ramp deliverables and timelines
  • Currently pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering
  • Familiarity with mixed-signal product engineering concepts
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, waveform generators, power supplies)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to iterate and improve designs
  • Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git, Bitbucket)

Our Silicon Validation and Characterization Engineering team is looking for an intern to support the development and production of cutting-edge mixed-signal and analog semiconductor integrated circuits. This hands-on internship offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers, contribute to real-world projects, and gain exposure to the full product lifecycle—from design to production ramp.

As an intern, you’ll collaborate with experienced engineers to solve real-world challenges, contribute to product development, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, supportive environment. This internship will take place during the Summer 2026 semester over the course of a 12-14 week long internship working a full-time schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers with the development and production of mixed-signal and analog semiconductor integrated circuits
  • Develop electrical bench and ATE Python test scripts
  • Gather and summarize data
  • Design and build test hardware
  • Interface with cross-function groups to manage NPI production ramp deliverables and timelines

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering
  • Familiarity with mixed-signal product engineering concepts
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, waveform generators, power supplies)

Cirrus Logic follows a 2+ day in-office work schedule but interns should expect to be in the office more often, up to 5 days per week, based on business needs and team preference. Interns must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning their internship with Cirrus Logic.
