As a leading independent film distributor, PLAION PICTURES brings big cinema to the screen and to your home. We cover the entire value chain from cinema to distribution on our own VOD channels. Film fans appreciate not only our high-quality home entertainment special editions, but also our passionate view of the classics of tomorrow. We operate Germany's largest multi-channel network for feature films and are one of the top 3 players in the distribution of physical media. The role involves operative and strategic program planning and support of several FAST channels, including content selection, highlight programming, coordination of delivery and technical acceptance, and the creation of schedules in the respective planning tools. The candidate will analyze data to develop successful planning and content strategies and optimize all FAST channels with the aim of making the placement of titles as effective as possible. They will also handle troubleshooting and general inquiries and EPG changes, create reports based on performance data and usage behavior, assist in improving existing processes and defining new workflows, conduct continuous market analyses, independently handle projects in consultation with the team lead, and assist with invoice control. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams (program purchasing, content management, graphics) and external partners.
Must have:
- Completed studies in business administration, marketing, or media studies.
- High motivation to delve deeper into the FAST channels streaming business.
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel).
- Solution-oriented and pragmatic approach to challenges.
- Independent, precise, and structured work style.
- Good technical and business understanding.
- Affinity for films and series.
- Fluent in German and English.
Good to have:
- Experience in the FAST channels streaming business.
- Experience with Content Management Systems and Content Scheduling Software like Wurl or Amagi.
- Strong team spirit.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Deine Aufgaben
- Du übernimmst die operative und strategische Programmplanung sowie die Betreuung mehrerer FAST-Channels, einschließlich der Content-Auswahl, Highlight-Programmierung, Koordination der Anlieferung und technischen Abnahme sowie der Erstellung der Sendepläne in den jeweiligen Planungs-Tools.
- Du analysierst die Daten, um erfolgreiche Planungs- und Content-Strategien zu entwickeln und optimierst alle FAST-Channels mit dem Ziel, die Platzierung der Titel möglichst effektiv zu gestalten.
- Du kümmerst dich um Troubleshooting und bearbeitest allgemeine Anfragen sowie EPG-Änderungen.
- Du erstellst Reports basierend auf Performancedaten und dem Nutzungsverhalten.
- Du unterstützt bei der Verbesserung bestehender Prozesse und definierst neue Workflows.
- Du führst kontinuierliche Marktanalysen durch.
- Du übernimmst eigenständig die Abwicklung von Projekten in Absprache mit dem Team Lead.
- Du unterstützt bei der Rechnungskontrolle.
- Du arbeitest eng mit internen Teams (Programmeinkauf, Content Management, Grafik) und externen Partnern zusammen.
Dein Profil

Du hast ein abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich BWL, Marketing, Kommunikations- oder Medienwissenschaften oder eine vergleichbare Ausbildung -
Du bringst eine hohe Motivation mit, tiefer in das Streaming-Geschäft rund um FAST Channels einzutauchen und hast bestenfalls bereits Erfahrungen in diesem Bereich gesammelt -
Du bist sicher im Umgang mit MS Office (insbesondere Excel) und hast idealerweise Erfahrungen mit Content Management Systemen und Content Scheduling Softwares wie Wurl oder Amagi -
Du packst Herausforderungen lösungsorientiert, proaktiv und pragmatisch an -
Du arbeitest selbstständig, präzise und strukturiert und bringst einen ausgeprägten Teamgeist sowie Begeisterungsfähigkeit mit -
Du verfügst über ein gutes technisches und betriebswirtschaftliches Verständnis, hast eine analytische Denkweise, starke Organisationsfähigkeiten und kannst mehrere Projekte gleichzeitig verwalten und auf die Geschäftsziele ausrichten -
Du hast eine hohe Affinität zu Filmen und Serien -
Du sprichst Deutsch und Englisch
