Job Description
The Foreign Exchange Manager will oversee and manage foreign exchange operations (80%), supporting daily treasury operations and capital markets in EMEA, APAC, and LATAM (20%). Responsibilities include monitoring market trends, forecasting currency cash flow, developing and executing FX strategies, providing guidance to other departments on FX matters, monitoring FX risks, implementing internal controls, and recommending process improvements and automation. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of foreign exchange trading processes and extensive experience in FX management within a multinational corporate or banking environment. The successful candidate will be a problem-solver capable of working in a fast-paced environment and delivering high-quality results.

We are looking for a Foreign Exchange Manager to join our Global Treasury team at our European HQ in Amsterdam. Your primary focus will be on overseeing and managing our foreign exchange operations (80%), but you will also support daily treasury operations and capital markets in EMEA, APAC and LATAM (20%). The Foreign Exchange Manager will be an important part of our treasury team, and you will be able to take ownership of your own tasks, while contributing to operational and strategic decision making.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and developments
- Forecast foreign currency cash flow requirements
- Develop and implement FX strategies to optimize financial performance
- Execute FX transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Provide guidance and support to other departments on FX related matters
- Monitor and report on FX market risks and opportunities. Develop and implement internal controls for FX operations
- Recommend, drive, implement and maintain process improvements and automation
- Comprehensive knowledge of foreign exchange trading processes
- Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification preferred, or the equivalent in experience
- Extensive experience in FX management in a multinational corporate and/or bank
- Foreign exchange trading experience highly desirable
- You are a problem-solver; always looking for better ways to get things done
- You have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and deliver high quality results
- Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written. Dutch is not required
