Full Stack Software Engineer, AI

The Cybersecurity R&D team is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to develop AI security solutions. This role involves owning major product components, from user interfaces to resilient backend systems, and collaborating with AI researchers and product designers. The successful candidate will transform technical insights into products that empower users, visualize complex systems, and enhance AI security. The position requires designing and implementing features across the full stack, with exposure to AI and security being a plus.

Must Have

• Design, build, and maintain complete product features, from persistent data storage and high-throughput backend APIs to polished, performant, and intuitive front-end user interfaces.
• Spearhead the system architecture for new components, ensuring resilience, maintainability, and horizontal scalability.
• Rapidly iterate on prototypes and initial product concepts based on user feedback, research findings, and evolving market needs.
• Collaborate closely with AI Security Researchers to translate novel technical insights into usable, robust, and documented software tools and systems.
• Develop sophisticated dashboards, analytics, and visualization tools that effectively reveal complex dynamics and vulnerability surfaces of advanced AI and ML systems.
• Debug, optimize, and scale core applications and services to ensure high availability and support demanding, low-latency AI security use cases.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Solid proficiency in modern backend development (Kotlin, Go, Rust, or Python, or similar modern object-oriented/functional language).
• Strong front-end mastery in Javascript/Typescript, with significant experience building complex, stateful user interfaces using modern frameworks, ideally React.
• Proven track record of end-to-end ownership where you have successfully designed, deployed, and maintained production-grade features independently or within a small team.
• Deep understanding of common data structures, algorithms, system design principles, and software architectural patterns.

Good to Have

• MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Deep, practical expertise in Python.
• Hands-on experience or academic exposure to the principles of Machine Learning.
• Direct experience or a strong foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts.

About the Role

The Cybersecurity R&D team is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to help us build the future of AI security where the world’s most advanced AI systems are tested, protected and hardened against the next generation of threats.

A successful candidate thrives at the intersection of innovation, craftsmanship, and impact. You’ll own major pieces of our product, from sleek, intuitive user interfaces to resilient backend systems that power real-time AI security operations. You’ll work closely with AI researchers, product designers, and other engineers to transform deep technical insights into products that empower users, visualize complex systems, and keep the world’s AI safer. The ability to design and implement features throughout the full stack is essential, exposure to AI and security a plus.

We’re looking for somebody with the curiosity of a researcher, the rigor of an engineer, and the creativity of a hacker.

You will be part of a diverse team consisting of ML experts, cryptographers, mathematicians, and physicists, where they will play a key role in efficient and effective enablement of the cutting-edge technologies being developed. We’re not another security vendor chasing patch cycles - we want to make an impact, and we want to do it fast.

What You'll Do

About You

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field
• Solid proficiency in modern backend development, demonstrated through strong experience in at least one of the following high-performance languages: Kotlin, Go, Rust, or Python (or a similar modern object-oriented/functional language)
• Strong front-end mastery in Javascript/Typescript, with significant experience building complex, stateful user interfaces using modern frameworks, ideally React
• Proven track record of end-to-end ownership where you have successfully designed, deployed, and maintained production-grade features independently or within a small team
• Deep understanding of common data structures, algorithms, system design principles, and software architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architectures)

• MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
• Deep, practical expertise in Python
• Hands-on experience or academic exposure to the principles of Machine Learning (e.g., model training, deployment, MLOps, or adversarial ML)
• Direct experience or a strong foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including network security, cryptography, application security, or vulnerability assessment
• Experience contributing to or maintaining successful open-source projects, demonstrating collaboration and code quality best practices

The US base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be $125k - $185k per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role may be eligible for annual discretionary bonuses and equity.
