Job Summary

The Social Media, Korean Language Assistant will manage the Wizards Korean language social media accounts, including content calendars, posting, caption writing, and live game coverage. This role involves creating mobile-first content, monitoring fan engagement, and developing strategies to grow social following and enhance revenue. The assistant will collaborate with internal teams and support reporting on social media performance.

Must Have

  • Oversee content calendars and manage postings for Wizards Korean-language social channels.
  • Manage live coverage of all Wizards games on Korean language social platforms.
  • Create original mobile-first content, short form videos, and capture live event coverage.
  • Monitor conversations with fans, brands, and influencers for engagement opportunities.
  • Ideate content and strategies to create revenue enhancing content.
  • Optimize content for each social platform.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and manage weekly social publishing calendars.
  • Support internal reporting and analytics on social media performance and growth.
  • Support game day/night coverage for all team games and events.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Fluent in Korean and English (written and verbal), with translation experience.
  • Proven understanding of social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong visual design eye for graphics, photography, and video content.
  • Self-starter, able to work creatively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledgeable about NBA players and teams.
  • Flexibility to travel and work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
  • Experience with social listening and analytics tools.
  • Experience in professional sports.

Job Description

Position Overview:

The Social Media, Korean Language Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day programming and posting for the Wizards Korean language social media accounts. This position will lead the channel strategy and manage the day-to-day content calendar, crafting posts that engage and inform our target audiences. This position will also define and drive social strategy and publishing, helping develop a voice and tone, channel guidelines, goals, and audience targets across all platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee content calendars and manage postings and caption writing for all Wizards Korean-language social channels, including Instagram and Twitter
  • Manage live coverage of all Wizards games on Korean language social platforms
  • Create original mobile-first content, short form videos, and capture live event coverage
  • Monitor conversations with fans, brands, and influencers for engagement opportunities
  • Ideate content and strategies to create revenue enhancing content across partnerships, ticketing, retail – with an added focus on growing social following
  • Manage creative requests and asset delivery for Capital City Go-Go social media and digital channels
  • Optimize content for each social platform in terms of sizing, relevance, and timing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and manage weekly social publishing calendars.
  • Support internal reporting and analytics on social media performance and growth.
  • Support game day/night coverage for all team games and events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Fluent in Korean and English both written and verbal, with experience translating.
  • Proven understanding of social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, etc.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) a plus but not required.
  • Experience with social listening and analytics tools is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong visual design eye, with regard to graphics, photography, and produced video content
  • Self-starter with the ability to work creatively and efficiently in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledgeable about NBA players and teams; experience in professional sports is helpful.
  • Flexibility to travel and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay Range: $30 - $35 USD/hour
