Gameplay Programmer Intern

Opened in October 2011, Ubisoft Abu Dhabi is one of the first major video game studios based in the UAE capital and is focusing on developing and bringing to market successful mobile games for a worldwide audience. 

Ubisoft Abu Dhabi is seeking for a Gameplay Programmer Intern to join our programming team on an exciting project. The Gameplay Programmer Intern will contribute and learn programming tasks within the game development process within a dynamic, professional, collaborative, and creative team.

What you’ll do:

• Support developing simple and complex gameplay systems
• Complete your gameplay functions based on the plan, requirements and schedule approved by management.
• Capable to inform management ahead of time when tasks are falling behind schedule and propose solutions.
• Communicate the progress of your work to your peers, customers, and leads.
• Correct defects discovered by QA or players in a timely fashion.

What you’ll bring:

• Knowledge of C# programming language
• Hands-on experience with Unity3D engine preferred
• Have a good understanding of mathematics, physics and gameplay mechanics
• Passion for creating well-structured, flexible, bug free code
• Should be fluent in English and should hold good communication skills to interact with various teams.
• A passion for creating or playing games and team player

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree preferably in technology or similar educational learning
• Located in Abu Dhabi
