Job Summary
Job Description
Luni is seeking a Head of Legal to be the cornerstone of their legal function, working directly with the leadership team. This role involves managing commercial, corporate, intellectual property, employment, and strategic projects. The ideal candidate will build pragmatic processes, reduce risks, and help the company scale. Responsibilities include owning and managing all types of contracts, building scalable templates, and supporting team negotiations. The role also involves overseeing corporate governance, leading legal work for partnerships, M&A, or international expansion, drafting and reviewing employment agreements, advising HR, protecting brand and IP, ensuring data privacy compliance, building internal legal processes, and managing external counsel and budgets. The company aims to improve people's everyday lives by creating quality B2C mobile applications.
Must have:
- Extensive legal experience, including in-house roles.
- Experience leading legal support for strategic projects.
- Comfortable owning a wide scope of legal areas.
- Business-minded and solution-oriented.
- Builder, enjoys setting up scalable processes.
- Managed external counsel effectively.
- Fluent in English.
Good to have:
- Experience in a leadership capacity.
- Experience with partnerships, M&A, or international expansion.
- Experience balancing legal risk and operational needs.
- Knowledge of keeping legal budgets under control.

The job 🚀
As Head of Legal, you’ll be the cornerstone of our legal function, working directly with the leadership team across all major areas: commercial, corporate, IP, employment, and strategic projects. You’ll build pragmatic processes, reduce risks, and help us scale with confidence.
👉 What you will do ?
Commercial & Contractual
-Own and manage all types of contracts: client, partner, vendor, etc.
-Build scalable templates and support teams with negotiations.
Corporate & Strategic
-Oversee governance and corporate housekeeping.
-Lead legal work for partnerships, M&A, or international expansion.
Employment & HR Support
-Draft and review employment agreements and policies.
-Advise HR on day-to-day topics and sensitive cases.
Intellectual Property & Data
-Protect our brand and IP (trademarks, content, etc.).
-Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR).
Legal Ops & External Counsel
-Build internal processes and documentation.
-Manage legal budget and relationships with external firms.
Who you are 🧑💼
-You have extensive experience, including time spent in fast-paced in-house roles, ideally in a leadership capacity.
-You’re comfortable owning a wide scope—from commercial contracts to corporate governance, employment law, IP, and data privacy (GDPR).
-You’ve led legal support for strategic projects such as partnerships, M&A, or international expansion.
-You’re business-minded and solution-oriented, with the ability to balance legal risk and operational needs.
-You’re a builder: you enjoy setting up scalable processes, templates, and documentation to enable teams.
-You’ve managed external counsel effectively and know how to keep legal budgets under control.
-You’re fluent in English and comfortable working in an international, cross-functional environment.
🏢 This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our French hubs (Bordeaux/Paris). There is a job offer open in each city, but only one vacancy.
