Job Description

HP is seeking an innovator for a Segment Management Internship within the HP SitePrint team, which is transforming the construction industry with automation and AI. This role involves spearheading engagement with general contractors, positioning HP SitePrint as an essential workflow tool. The intern will shape thought leadership, build deep relationships, and ensure technology integration into planning and execution. Responsibilities include account development, market insights, enablement, and cross-functional collaboration to drive adoption and influence product roadmap.
Must have:
  • Act as HP’s thought leader for digital layout transformation within the general contractor segment
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to elevate HP SitePrint as the layout solution of choice for GCs
  • Partner with general contractors to co-create best practices
  • Identify, prioritize, and build relationships with top-tier general contractors
  • Ensure GCs integrate HP SitePrint into project planning, BIM workflows, and layout strategy
  • Champion the adoption of HP SitePrint by deploying robots internally or requiring trades to use them
  • Build multi-level relationships within GC organizations
  • Gain deep understanding of GC operating models, pain points, and decision-making cycles
  • Develop segment-specific value propositions, business cases, and ROI models
  • Collaborate with trades, subcontractors, and ecosystem partners
  • Support GCs with implementation roadmaps, pilot programs, and training
  • Act as a trusted advisor, sharing industry trends, digital construction insights, and success stories
  • Capture feedback and requirements from GCs to influence HP SitePrint’s product roadmap
  • Partner closely with the HP SitePrint GTM team, pre-sales, marketing, and channel managers
  • Lead joint initiatives with strategic dealers and technology partners
  • Contribute to HP’s visibility at industry events, conferences, and webinars
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Preferably in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a similar field

HP SitePrint (https://www.hp.com/us-en/printers/site-print/layout-robot.html) is transforming the construction industry by revolutionizing layout processes with automation and AI, making job sites faster, safer, and more precise. We are now looking for a General Contractors Segment Manager who will spearhead our engagement with leading general contractors (GCs), positioning HP SitePrint as an essential part of their construction workflows and ensuring the technology becomes a strategic enabler of their projects.

As a General Contractors Segment Manager, you will take a leadership role in shaping thought leadership, building deep relationships with GCs, and ensuring HP SitePrint is integrated into their planning, project execution, and trade coordination.

Main Responsibilities

1. Segment Leadership & Thought Partnership

  • Act as HP’s thought leader and ambassador for digital layout transformation within the general contractor segment.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to elevate HP SitePrint as the layout solution of choice for GCs, influencing decision-makers and C-level stakeholders.
  • Partner with general contractors to co-create best practices, demonstrating the productivity, quality, and safety benefits of robotic layout.

2. Account Development

  • Identify, prioritize, and build relationships with top-tier general contractors, ensuring they integrate HP SitePrint into project planning, BIM workflows, and layout strategy together with the Sales teams.
  • Work with GCs to champion the adoption of HP SitePrint, either by deploying robots internally or by requiring trades to use them in their projects.
  • Build multi-level relationships within GC organizations (executive, operations, technology, and field teams).

3. Market Insights & Ecosystem Influence

  • Gain a deep understanding of the operating models, pain points, and decision-making cycles of GCs to position HP SitePrint as a strategic advantage.
  • Develop segment-specific value propositions, business cases, and ROI models to accelerate adoption.
  • Collaborate with trades, subcontractors, and ecosystem partners to ensure alignment and effective deployment.

4. Enablement & Advocacy

  • Support GCs with implementation roadmaps, pilot programs, and training to drive successful scaling of HP SitePrint.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, sharing industry trends, digital construction insights, and success stories.
  • Capture feedback and requirements from GCs to influence HP SitePrint’s product roadmap and innovation strategy.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the HP SitePrint GTM team, pre-sales, marketing, and channel managers to ensure GCs are engaged across the full customer journey.
  • Lead joint initiatives with strategic dealers and technology partners to create GC-focused campaigns and events.
  • Contribute to HP’s visibility at industry events, conferences, and webinars targeting general contractors.

What are we looking for?

  • You must be enrolled to a bachelor's or Master's, preferably in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a similar field.
  • Solid knowledge in MS Office, advanced skills in Excel. Knowledge in Power BI would be a plus.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Solid analytical skills: analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation. Ability to learn and draw on new analytical techniques.
  • Strong communication skills: both written and verbal.
  • Proactive, curious, and dynamic personality: Capacity and eagerness to learn new things and be in different environments and workforces.
  • Basic knowledge in research methodology and understanding of project management.
  • Developing business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
