Job Description

Apple’s Instructional Products Design team conceptualizes, designs, and ships user experiences that help millions of people discover, learn about, and get the most out of their Apple products. As a Human Interface Designer, you'll craft user interfaces and educational experiences, designing intuitive pathways for feature discovery, creating engaging learning experiences, and helping users unlock the full potential of their Apple products. Your role involves concepting, prototyping, presenting, and debating ideas across design, instructional design, engineering, and product teams.
Good To Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, or equivalent professional experience
  • High level of curiosity for technology amplified by your design craft and passion for user education
  • Commitment to designing inclusive and accessible learning experiences
  • Experience working with content strategy and instructional design teams
  • Understanding of user research methodologies, particularly around user testing, learning and feature adoption

  • Create wireframes and user flows for both internal tools and customer-facing deliverables while contributing to UX design strategies that enhance the overall user experience
  • Portfolio demonstrating design thinking, hands-on expertise, and problem-solving skills, particularly in UI/UX Design
  • Strong UX and visual design skills with a user-centric focus
  • Open and collaborative communication skills capable of working in a multi-disciplinary design team
  • Proficiency with design tools (Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Principle, Figma, or similar)

As a Human Interface Designer on the Instructional Products team, you’ll be responsible for crafting user interfaces and educational experiences that bridge the gap between technology and user understanding. You’ll design intuitive pathways for feature discovery, create engaging learning experiences, and help users unlock the full potential of their Apple products. Your role will include concepting, prototyping, presenting, and debating ideas and solutions across groups of designers, instructional designers, engineers, and product teams.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $57.84 and $87.12/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
