The Inside Sales Coordinator I develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers primarily by phone to increase sales. This role supports customers and account managers through frequent communication and problem-solving. Working under direct supervision, the coordinator relies on pre-established guidelines, requiring a certain degree of creativity and latitude to perform job functions. The position focuses on maintaining customer satisfaction and driving sales growth.
Must have:
  • Maintain frequent communication with customer base
  • Handle basic issues and problems
  • Solicit sales orders from existing customers
  • Develop new customers via phone/internet marketing
  • Assist in qualifying leads and directing them to proper channels
  • Execute market penetration strategy using web-based sales leads
  • Communicate sample needs with the plant
  • Correspond regularly with customers regarding updates
  • Drive new product sales by informing customers
  • Work with account managers to fulfill requests and solve problems
  • Maintain positive relationships with distributors
  • Work with Product Managers to enhance sales programs
  • Attend shows and product introductions as needed
  • Attend various product trainings as needed
  • Prepare various reports and correspondence
  • Perform other duties as required
  • High school graduate
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment (computer, scanner)

Job Summary

The Inside Sales Coordinator I is responsible for developing new prospects and interacts with existing customers primarily by phone, to increase sales. Provides support to customers and account managers by maintaining frequent communication with both and by helping troubleshoot problems. Works under direct supervision; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required; relays on pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains frequent communication with customer base and gathers information to ensure their satisfaction
  • Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Solicits sales orders from existing customers via phone
  • Develops new customers via "pull" through marketing Phone-Internet
  • Assists qualifying leads gauging interest level, time frame, needs, etc., and directs leads to proper channels
  • Executes market penetration strategy utilizing web-based sales leads
  • Communicates sample needs for customers/dealers/contractors with the plant
  • Corresponds regularly with customers, i.e., Brand Bulletins, Brochures, and any program updates
  • Helps drive new product sales by communicating unknown products to customers
  • Works with account managers to comply with customer request and to solve customer problems
  • Maintains positive relationships with distributors
  • Works with Product Managers to enhance sales programs
  • Attends shows and product introductions when necessary
  • Attends various product trainings, as needed
  • Prepares various reports and correspondence as required
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school graduate
  • Minimum 0-2 years of experience, preferably in customer service
  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of various office equipment (computer, scanner, etc)

Compensation & Benefits

$23 - $28/ hour dependent on experience*

*pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living

Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
