The Insights Specialist at Google's gTech Ads will analyze large datasets to uncover actionable insights, driving customer business objectives. This role requires collaborating with sales teams and partners to create compelling narratives that enhance Google's media solution sales. Responsibilities include converting data into strategic insights and storylines, utilizing measurement tools to support sales presentations, simplifying complex datasets, and developing robust analytical solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with digital media, advertising campaigns, and data analysis tools (SQL, Tableau, Data Studio). Strong presentation skills and the ability to work with stakeholders are crucial. The role contributes to improving Google's products and client experience by providing data-driven recommendations and solutions.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years digital media/advertising experience
  • SQL experience
  • Data analysis and presentation skills
  • Collaboration with sales and partners
Good to have:
  • Client-facing data analytics experience
  • Experience with Tableau, Data Studio
  • Knowledge of R, Python
  • Database management systems knowledge

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience working with digital media or digital marketing/advertising solutions, implementing and measuring digital advertising campaigns and providing client solutions.
  • Experience with SQL.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a client facing data analytics role or in presenting data-based narratives to senior stakeholders and partners.
  • Experience working with customer business objectives and recommending insights based on market and customer data.
  • Experience working with analytical and narrative tools such as spreadsheets, presentation-software, tableau, data-studio, etc.
  • Knowledge of R, Python, database management systems, and SQL Workflow management.

Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience. In this role, you will find compelling insights within data and translate those insights into action to help our customers meet their business and marketing objectives. You will spend time digging into big data sets and turning that data into action.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Sales teams and Partners (Analytical Consultants and Leads, Account Executives) and Search and Commerce Managers (gCare MediaOps) to develop compelling, integrated, research-based insights and narratives to enhance Google's ability to sell relevant media solutions to clients.
  • Analyze large datasets, convert them into strategic insights and compelling storylines in order to drive customer business objectives and enable client decisions.
  • Utilize insight and measurement tools to add relevant, trustworthy data to customer presentations and proposals, to enable sales of Google Media Solutions.
  • Make data sets simple and easy to digest.
  • Develop and maintain robust analytical solutions that can be leveraged across verticals and markets.
