Vimeo is seeking a motivated Instructional Designer to partner with teams across the company, crafting impactful learning paths for Customer Support Teams. This role involves shaping and executing a content strategy that supports new Vimeo services and features. As a strategic thinker, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design of high-impact learning programs, developing engaging content across various platforms to foster a world-class culture of continuous learning.
Must Have:
  • Partner with stakeholders to conduct needs assessments and define measurable learning objectives.
  • Act as a dedicated advocate for learners, ensuring their needs are prioritized.
  • Transform complex technical information into engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Manage the full development cycle for all instructional materials, from storyboarding to production.
  • Maintain and update existing content for relevance and alignment with business needs.
  • Own the entire project lifecycle for learning initiatives, managing timelines to meet deadlines.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with Support Product Leads and cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of adult learning theories (e.g., Andragogy, ADDIE, SAM).
  • Proven ability to identify knowledge or skill gaps through stakeholder engagement.
  • Expertise in crafting clear, measurable, and actionable learning objectives.
  • Exceptional ability to simplify complex technical content into learner-friendly solutions.
  • Proactive, creative approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and consensus building.

A motivated Instructional Designer who possesses a unique balance of technical depth, business knowledge, and strong interpersonal skills. In this role, you will partner with teams across to craft impactful learning paths that educate our Customer Support Teams. You will have the opportunity to shape and execute a content strategy that supports new services and features.

As a strategic thinker and problem-solver, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design of high-impact learning programs. The ideal candidate has proven experience developing engaging content across a variety of platforms (e-learning, virtual, and in-person) to help us foster a world-class culture of continuous learning.

What You'll Do

Learning Strategy & Analysis

  • Partner with stakeholders to conduct needs assessments, identify performance gaps, and define clear, measurable learning objectives that align with business goals.
  • Act as a dedicated advocate for our learners, ensuring their needs are at the forefront of every design decision.

Content Design, Development, & Governance

  • Transform complex technical information into professionally written, engaging, and effective learning experiences across multiple formats (interactive e-learning, video, written guides, etc.).
  • Manage the full development cycle for all instructional materials, from storyboarding and scripting to final production.
  • Maintain and update existing content to ensure relevance and alignment with evolving business needs.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Own the entire project lifecycle for all learning initiatives and managing timelines to meet deadlines.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with Support Product Leads, and cross-functional teams to ensure content accuracy and alignment with product roadmaps.

Skills & Knowledge You Should Possess

  • Instructional Design Expertise: Deep understanding of adult learning theories (e.g., Andragogy, ADDIE, SAM) and their application in creating impactful learning experiences.
  • Needs Analysis: Proven ability to identify knowledge or skill gaps through thoughtful stakeholder engagement and learner analysis.
  • Learning Objectives: Expertise in crafting clear, measurable, and actionable learning objectives.
  • Technical Acumen: Exceptional ability to simplify complex technical content into elegant, learner-friendly solutions.
  • Agile & Innovative Mindset: A proactive, creative approach to problem-solving with a willingness to challenge traditional methods in a fast-paced environment.
