Upstox Insurance is seeking a detail-oriented and research-driven intern to support key insurance initiatives. This role involves bot training, product analysis, servicing flow mapping, and exploratory partnerships. The ideal candidate will enjoy structured research, process understanding, and creating actionable insights to contribute to the development of insurance assistance bots and strategic projects.
Must Have
- Assist in building and training an insurance assistance bot by researching claims flow, servicing touchpoints, grievance redressal, and product details.
- Convert research inputs into structured bot-training content, flows, and rule logic.
- Identify and document products, processes, servicing flows, and claims workflows for multiple insurers.
- Benchmark industry best practices and identify gaps or opportunities.
- Maintain structured and well-organized product datasets.
- Work on new initiatives like evaluating financer partnerships and preparing comparative insights.
- Strong research, analysis, and insight-generation skills.
- Ability to convert complex processes into structured documentation.
- Good communication and presentation abilities.

- Interest in Insurance, Fintech, or Customer Experience domains.

Job Title: Insurance Intern-Research and Insights
Location: Mumbai(Only Mumbai-based candidates shall be preferred)
Duration: 3 Months
Stipend: 10,000 per month
About the Role
Upstox Insurance is looking for a detail-oriented and research-driven intern to support key insurance initiatives, including bot training, product analysis, servicing flow mapping, and exploratory partnerships. This role is ideal for any student who enjoys structured research, process understanding, and creating actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
1. Bot Training & Implementation
Assist in building and training an insurance assistance bot by researching and documenting:
Claims flow of all insurers across Life, Health & Motor insurance
Insurance servicing touchpoints & end-to-end process flows
Grievance redressal journey, including escalation up to Ombudsman
Top 100 Life Insurance products with illustrations, brochures (current & legacy)
Top 100 Health Insurance products with policy documents (current & legacy)
New Product Advisory for Life & Health categories
You will help convert these inputs into structured bot-training content, flows, and rule logic.
2. Product & Process Research
Identify and document products, processes, servicing flows, and claims workflows for multiple insurers
Benchmark industry best practices and identify gaps or opportunities
Maintain structured and well-organized product datasets
3. Strategic Exploratory Projects
Work on new initiatives such as:
Evaluating financer partnerships that could sponsor customer insurance premiums.
Preparing comparative insights and feasibility assessments
Skill Requirements
Strong research, analysis, and insight-generation skills
Ability to convert complex processes into structured documentation
Good communication and presentation abilities
Interest in Insurance, Fintech, or Customer Experience domains (preferred)
Educational Qualifications
~BBI,BMS,BCOM– current student or recent graduate
~Freshers with strong research aptitude may also apply
