Job Summary:
The Employee Development Intern Engineer will support the planning, execution, and evaluation of learning and development (L&D) programs for both direct and indirect labor groups. The intern will assist in competency mapping, training needs analysis (TNA), program scheduling, tracking training compliance, and developing technical and soft skills training content aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing training calendars and logistics for shopfloor (direct labor) and support group (indirect labor) training programs
Support the implementation of technical upskilling, leadership development, and compliance training sessions
Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) based on productivity data, quality results, and skill matrices
Coordinate with internal trainers and external providers to align content and schedules
Develop and update training materials, evaluation tools, and progress dashboards
Assist in tracking learning hours, post-training evaluations, and impact assessments
Participate in digitalization of learning processes and LMS data entry
Provide administrative support in training audits and ISO/HRD compliance
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Human Resource Development, Education, or related technical field
Preferably in 3rd or 4th year level standing
Special Skills & Qualifications:
Strong analytical and organizational skills (for handling TNA, scheduling, and data tracking)
Knowledge of learning frameworks, basic instructional design, and training evaluation methods
Familiarity with digital tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, and preferably Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and workforce segmentation (direct vs. indirect labor)
Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
Creative mindset for developing visual, engaging training materials
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams
High sense of initiative, accountability, and confidentiality
