Intern – Process Integration Engineer ID1

Micron Technology is seeking a highly motivated Process Integration Intern to join their ATE PI team in Boise. This role involves supporting the integration of process modules, analyzing electrical and inline data to identify yield detractors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in DRAM products. The intern will gain hands-on experience in semiconductor process integration, advanced technology development, and yield improvement.

Must Have

• Currently pursuing a B.S, M.S or PhD. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Excel, JMP, and data visualization tools
• Support integration of process modules across various DRAM module loops
• Analyze electrical and inline data to identify yield detractors and process anomalies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (TD, PE, CPIE, OMT) to drive continuous improvement
• Document findings and present updates to engineering and leadership teams

• Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication and process flows
• Prior internship or lab experience in semiconductor manufacturing or process engineering
• Knowledge of SPC, DOE, and yield analysis methodologies

Micron’s ATE Process Integration team plays a critical role in bridging advanced test engineering with process development to ensure high-yield, high-quality DRAM products. We focus on integrating electrical test data with inline process metrics to identify and resolve yield detractors, optimize module loops, and drive continuous improvement across technology nodes. Our team collaborates closely with cross-functional partners in Technology Development, Product Engineering, CPIE, and Manufacturing to accelerate innovation and deliver reliable, scalable memory solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Support integration of process modules across various DRAM module loops.
• Analyze electrical and inline data to identify yield detractors and process anomalies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (TD, PE, CPIE, OMT) to drive continuous improvement.
• Document findings and present updates to engineering and leadership teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a B.S, M.S or PhD. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication and process flows is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel, JMP, and data visualization tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• 3–6 months (flexible based on academic calendar)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior internship or lab experience in semiconductor manufacturing or process engineering.
• Knowledge of SPC, DOE, and yield analysis methodologies.
