Job Description

Autodesk is seeking a Software Developer Intern for the Fusion Data team in Canada. This hybrid position for Winter 2026 involves building solutions on MFGDM, the foundation of Manufacturing Cloud. Responsibilities include implementing new features, maintaining code, fixing bugs in Fusion Desktop and Web, assisting with feature design, translating requirements into engineering tasks, and ensuring high code quality through testing and code reviews. The intern will also participate in Agile methodologies and collaborate with remote teams.
Good To Have:
  • Prior software engineering experience from internships, hackathons, or other related projects.
  • Prior experience in Typescript, NodeJS, C++ or React.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
Must Have:
  • Implement new features, maintain code, and fix bugs in Fusion Desktop and Web experiences.
  • Assist with feature design and translate design and product requirements into engineering tasks.
  • Maintain a high standard of code quality by following best practices around testing, code reviews, and design patterns.
  • Understand Agile methodologies, principles, and values within the team.
  • Participate in team retrospectives and feedback loops to improve future iterations.
  • Collaborate and align with remotely located teams involved in the project.
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program with an expected graduation date in 2026 or 2027.
  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in Typescript, C++, Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
  • Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about writing well-tested applications (unit tests, functional tests, etc.).
  • High capacity to deal with a wide variety of technologies in large code bases.

We are looking for a Software Developer Intern to join our energetic Fusion Data team in Canada and help us build solutions on MFGDM (Manufacturing Data Model) that allow our end users to edit data concurrently from our applications, including Fusion, as well as API. MFGDM is the foundation of Manufacturing Cloud and core to Data Platform for Autodesk Cloud Flagship Product - Fusion.

Please note that this is a hybrid position for Winter 2026 (January -April 2026 work term).

Responsibilities

  • Implementing new features, maintaining existing code, and fixing bugs as they arise, in both Fusion Desktop and Web-based experiences
  • Helping with feature design, and translating design and product requirements into engineering tasks
  • Maintaining a high standard of code quality by following best practices around testing, code reviews, and design patterns
  • Understanding Agile methodologies, principles and values within the team.
  • Participating in team retrospectives and feedback loops to improve on future iterations
  • Collaborating and aligning with remotely located teams involved in the project

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a full-time, degree seeking program with an expected graduation date in 2026 or 2027
  • Strong Computer Science (CS) fundamentals, with a proficiency in either Typescript, C++, Python, Java, or JavaScript to develop components and service
  • Solid understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies
  • Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about writing well-tested applications (unit tests, functional tests, etc.)
  • High capacity to deal with a wide variety of technologies in large code bases

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior software engineering experience from internships, hackathons, or other related projects
  • Prior experience in Typescript, NodeJS, C++ or React is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools
