Salary Range:
$78,000 USD - $80,000 USD
Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Job Description:
Every day, we seek to improve financial security for people. The Investments Operations team supports account opening, trade lifecycle management, reconciliation and reporting across equity, fixed income, listed and OTC derivatives and foreign exchange products globally. As an Investment Operations Analyst, you will work closely with associates across Russell Investments including portfolio managers, analysts, and traders to deliver operational support for trade lifecycles.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end trade lifecycle for equity, fixed income, ETD, OTC derivatives, and foreign exchange, ensuring accurate and timely trade capture, matching, settlement, confirmation, and resolution of trade breaks, settlement issues, and broker fee reconciliation.
- Work closely with internal teams (portfolio managers, analysts, traders) and external partners (custodians, counterparties & brokers) to ensure seamless communication and resolution of operational issues.
- Follow the lifecycle of various FX and derivative products/assignments from account setup to trade affirmation/matching, variation margin/collateral and settlement
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as CSDR, TRACE, and CAT reporting. Monitor and implement processes to meet regulatory requirements for trade reporting, settlement discipline, and collateral management.
- Ensure Day-to-day operational responsibilities are managed, coordinated, and delivered to the core business clients.
- Identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve operational risks effectively and collaboratively.
Analysts are required to work periodic holidays and, on occasion, non-standard shifts when there are global business needs. Any holiday worked will be compensated with a float day to be used at the individual’s preference.
Your Expertise:
- College Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, Economics Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent work experience
- Organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and precise with numbers, with a solid understanding of the securities/fund industry as well as investment concepts and strategies
- Strong individual contributor and team player in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple assignments under short deadlines
- Ability to identify potential issues and promote efficient resolution; ability to set and pursue goals and demonstrate a commitment to organizational success
- Excellent communication skills, understanding how to tailor communication style to the situation at hand
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct multiple projects and activities with varied deadlines; utilize sound judgment; be strategic thinker, effective in moving strategic agendas, and politically savvy; ensure utmost discretion in all matters
- Familiarity with custodian, broker, and money manager operations
- Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency with Excel and comfort with database applications. Knowledge of SQL, VBA or Python is a plus but not required
- Willingness and flexibility to work non-standard schedules and holidays
- Ability to adapt quickly and readily to change and embrace new opportunities
- Intellectual curiosity to perform a “deep-dive” into new subject material
