Your contributions will help drive innovation, improve system performance, and ensure technical excellence in a dynamic environment.

Software Requirements

  • Required Skills:

    • Proficiency in Java (Java SE 8 or higher) with experience developing scalable, maintainable code
    • Strong knowledge of Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and Struts
    • Familiarity with Java development environments like Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, or NetBeans
    • Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
    • Knowledge of version control tools such as Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket
    • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and testing practices
  • Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with microservices architecture and cloud deployment (AWS, Azure)
    • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
    • Familiarity with RESTful services and web APIs
    • Exposure to front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript in a full-stack environment

Overall Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
  • Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and cross-functional teams to understand and translate business needs into robust solutions
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to organizational standards
  • Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure software quality
  • Support system integration, deployment, and troubleshooting activities
  • Stay current with emerging Java and related technology trends, incorporating best practices into deliverables
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, process automation, and technical documentation

  • Programming Languages:

    • Essential: Java (Java 8+), SQL
    • Preferred: Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS for full-stack or integrated solutions
  • Frameworks & Libraries:

    • Essential: Spring Boot, Hibernate, Struts
    • Preferred: Microservices frameworks, security libraries (Spring Security)
  • Databases & Data Management:

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications in alignment with business requirements
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code review sessions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, optimizing application performance
  • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, design decisions, and system configurations
  • Stay informed of latest Java developments, tools, and techniques for continuous enhancement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Certification in Java development (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE) is a plus
  • Proven experience in Java enterprise application development
