Job Description

Fool's Theory, creators of "Seven: The Days Long Gone" and "The Thaumaturge," is seeking a Junior IT Specialist to join their team for a project in cooperation with CD PROJEKT RED. The role involves managing hardware procurement, recommending solutions, maintaining inventory records, preparing IT equipment for employees, and overseeing IT aspects of onboarding. Responsibilities also include performing routine maintenance, providing technical support both onsite and remotely, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving basic network problems, acting as a liaison with third-party helpdesks and external contractors, tracking and reporting IT incidents, and maintaining IT documentation. The specialist will escalate complex issues to administrators as needed and perform other assigned IT duties.
Good To Have:
  • Familiarity with network solutions (FortiGate, MikroTik)
  • Active Directory administration experience
  • Hyper-V and Proxmox knowledge
  • Server OS experience (Windows Server, Linux)
  • Google Workspace administration
  • Basic Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) knowledge
  • Driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Manage hardware procurement, including placing and tracking orders.
  • Research and recommend appropriate hardware solutions to meet business needs.
  • Maintain accurate records in the hardware inventory system.
  • Prepare IT equipment for new hires and current employees.
  • Oversee the IT aspects of the employee onboarding process.
  • Perform routine maintenance and service of IT equipment.
  • Provide technical support to employees both onsite and remotely.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic network issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Act as a liaison between Fool’s Theory employees and third-party helpdesk providers.
  • Communicate with external contractors to resolve technical issues.
  • Track and report IT incidents, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Maintain and update IT documentation regularly.
  • Escalate complex issues to IT administrators as necessary.
  • Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by the employer.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of computer hardware components and architecture.
  • Hands-on experience in assembling, troubleshooting, and maintaining PCs and related hardware.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and techniques for identifying hardware issues.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts.
  • Minimum of secondary education (high school diploma or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Fluency in English at a minimum B2 level (both spoken and written).
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and continuously improve technical skills.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with network solutions (switches, routers, firewalls - especially FortiGate and MikroTik).
  • Experience in administering Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and Proxmox.
  • Understanding of server operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Server 2019 or newer, and Linux.
  • Experience with Google Workspace administration.
  • Basic knowledge of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
  • Driver's license.
