Job Description

We are looking for a Jr. Release Engineer to support our portfolio of mobile games for ATA, responsible for planning, coordinating, validating, and executing client builds and asset patches. This role ensures smooth, timely, and high-quality releases by coordinating between engineering, product, and design teams, aligning all stakeholders on schedules, scope, and quality expectations. Key tasks include reviewing build requests, prioritizing with engineering, communicating content and timelines, maintaining release calendars, operating internal tools, conducting QA, troubleshooting, and documenting procedures.
Must have:
  • Review and assess client build requests to ensure completeness and adherence to internal standards.
  • Collaborate with members of the engineering organization to prioritize build requests and align on release schedules.
  • Coordinate with product managers, designers, and engineers to communicate release content and timelines.
  • Maintain a forward-looking release calendar to ensure stakeholders have visibility on upcoming deliverables.
  • Operate internal tools to generate client builds and asset patches for release.
  • Conduct QA testing on builds and patches to identify and resolve bugs before release.
  • Troubleshoot build-related issues and escalate to engineering when necessary.
  • Validate that release processes are followed consistently and accurately.
  • Maintain clear, accessible documentation for all release procedures.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to release workflows and tooling.
  • Track and report release metrics, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar field (software development or IT).
  • Hands-on experience with quality assurance processes and game testing.
  • Familiarity with Unity build tools and related release processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple releases simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

This is a remote position. You can work from anywhere in the world but working hours are in the PST timezone (9 a.m. - 6 p.m. PST).

About the role
