Position Overview
Russell Investments is seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Junior SEO Analyst to support our global digital marketing team in driving organic search performance. This entry-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to work across SEO strategy, content optimization, and analytics in a collaborative, high-performing environment. The successful candidate will help ensure our content is discoverable by search engines, aligned with user intent, and contributes to a superior digital experience for investors and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to support content planning and on-page optimizations.
- Optimize website content, meta tags, headers, images, and internal links to improve visibility in search engines.
- Support SEO reporting efforts using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SiteImprove, BrightEdge, SEMrush etc.
- Assist in the creation and optimization of content briefs for SEO-focused landing pages, blogs, and articles.
- Identify and fix on-page technical issues such as broken links, redirects, and crawl errors.
- Work with content, development, and UX teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented across site architecture and new content.
- Assist in implementing SEO strategies to support website visibility and organic growth across global and regional pages.
- Support monthly site audits by identifying issues such as broken links, redirect chains, missing metadata, and image optimization needs.
- Help review technical SEO elements including hreflang, canonical tags, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals.
- Help maintain content checklists, and QA published content for metadata, formatting, and keyword use.
- Assist in on-page SEO tasks such as updating page titles, meta descriptions, headers, and internal links as needed.
- Support monthly SEO reporting and dashboard updates, including validating keyword rankings, traffic changes, and audit findings.
- Contribute to SEO campaigns and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) readiness
- Support the setup and maintenance of AI-powered SEO tools for content analysis, keyword suggestions, and metadata generation.
- Assist in reviewing outputs from AI-driven reporting tools and help validate data accuracy before sharing with stakeholders.
- Partner with analytics, development, UX, and content teams to implement SEO fixes and enhancements
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to identifying SEO opportunities and documenting recommendations.
- Stay informed about latest AI & SEO trends, algorithm updates, and emerging tools to grow your expertise over time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in digital marketing, with some exposure to SEO (internships or academic projects acceptable).
- Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, or Ahrefs.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and how websites are structured.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets; comfortable working with data and formulas and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Sitecore, or Adobe Experience Manager.
- Exposure to B2B or financial services digital environments.
- Google Analytics and/or SEO certification(s) from recognized platforms.
