Main Tasks
Job Details:
- You will be responsible for body frame and exterior parts such as vehicle platforms, upper bodies, and doors. For each part, you will disassemble competitor vehicles and analyze their shape, structure, materials, and cost.
- You will perform difference analysis with our company's vehicles, compile rationalization proposals for parts and structures, and report/propose them to relevant departments such as body design.
- In collaboration with each part design and project development, based on the concept of value engineering, you will realize new vehicles that maximize value from the launch from the customer's perspective, and promote the maintenance and improvement of that value competitiveness during mass production.
*Value Engineering concept: A concept that aims to not only reduce costs but also improve performance and create added value beyond cost, for the purpose of enhancing the value of Nissan vehicles.

- You can conduct thorough competitive analysis by disassembling many competitor vehicles throughout the year.
- You can analyze the design, system configuration, and new manufacturing methods of competitor vehicles, and propose and reflect cost reduction measures in vehicle development.
- You can conduct competitive analysis of parts and systems, as well as supplier surveys in emerging countries, allowing for a global perspective on competitive analysis.
- As this work promotes value improvement from the customer's perspective, you can acquire knowledge and skills related to the entire vehicle.
- You will collaborate with many internal stakeholders and suppliers, honing various skills such as management and teamwork.

Skills and Experience Required
MUST
Those who meet any of the following:
- Experience as a cost engineer (other industries welcome)
- Experience in value engineering in the automotive industry, body parts, or related materials industry
- Experience as a development/cost engineer for BIW parts (automotive/PF)
- Detailed knowledge of design and manufacturing related to BIW parts (body frame, doors, etc.) and material technology in the automotive industry
Preferred: Automotive industry experience

- Annual salary range: Monthly salary (reference value) 230,000 JPY to 439,000 JPY
- Will be comprehensively determined based on experience and expertise.
- Estimated annual income (reference value) approximately 4.1 million JPY to 7.8 million JPY
- Monthly salary x 12 months + bonus (estimated value)
- Bonus amount is a reference value, and actual payment timing, amount, and payment conditions will be determined separately each time.
- Overtime allowance, etc., will be paid separately based on employee wage regulations.
