Paytm is seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) for their Electronic Data Capture (EDC) division in Goa. The role involves increasing sales of devices to merchants in a designated area, focusing on identifying and selling to quality merchants, and minimizing fraud and chargebacks through proper onboarding. The KAM will also be responsible for adhering to risk guidelines, resolving high-risk merchant issues, seeking references, and collaborating with internal business and technology teams to address bottlenecks. The role requires being a brand ambassador for Paytm, demonstrating a proactive and adaptable approach. Responsibilities include portfolio tracking, merchant communication, ensuring service delivery, meeting sales targets for payment solutions (QR codes, EDC machines, POS software, insurance), promoting the brand, resolving merchant grievances, planning daily activities, gathering market feedback, deploying products, articulating benefits, and ensuring customer satisfaction for higher sales conversions and retention.

Expectations/ Requirements 
● The incumbent will be expected to increase sales of our devices amongst merchants in a specified area.
● The role will require physical movement into micro markets, identifying and selling to good quality merchants.
● Minimize risks of fraud, chargebacks by ensuring good quality of merchant onboarding
● Adhere to the risk guidelines shared by the team. Visit merchant and resolve issues highlighted as high risk.
● Seek references of other good merchants from the converted clients
● Engage with various Business & Technology Teams within Paytm to identify common bottlenecks esp. on Technology front.
● Be a brand ambassador for Paytm – Stay Hungry, Stay Humble, Stay Relevant!

● Should have good exposure in B2B field sales, cold calling, pre-sales and lead generation

 Education: Applicants must possess bachelor’s degree or above

Roles and responsibilities:
1. Engaging with Premium merchants like portfolio tracking, merchant communication, and ensuring service is delivered in assigned areas for assigned merchants.
2. Meeting sales targets of multiple payment solutions such as QR codes, EDC/card swipe machines, point of sales software, insurance, and other financial products ensuring product penetration along with revenue growth.
3. Enabling the new business line and promoting the brand in the marketplace. Track and attend to merchant's grievances and ensure its resolved on time.
4. Plan and execution of day-to-day activities along with the team and review team’s deliverables.
5. Gathering consistent feedback from the market for existing offerings and insights into the competition.
6. Deployment of products and articulation of benefits & best practices at client locations Ensuring customer satisfaction leading to higher sales conversions and retention.
 
Who are we looking for :
1. Self-starters, who can take ownership without handholding and are comfortable navigating ambiguity, will be an ideal fit . Passionate about working in a fast-growing firm and ready to get their hands dirty.
2. Articulate complex solutions to novice customers.
3. Fintech experience or some field experience candidates to be priorities.
4. Honesty and trustworthiness are the most important virtues. 
5. Good sales and negotiation skills and interest in financial products and markets·
6. Understanding of Local geography
 
Education : 
Graduation/ Post Graduation preferred.
