As a Lead Client Partner, you will build and grow relationships with advertisers and agencies, helping them leverage Pinterest to solve business challenges and achieve significant results. You will collaborate on key initiatives, serving as the primary contact for high-level partners. This role is part of an expanding team in Japan, focusing on engaging audiences on the Pinterest platform.
Must have:
  • Retain, grow, and diversify value delivered to partners, ultimately growing Pinterest revenue.
  • Advocate internally for solutions to drive advertiser business outcomes, collaborating with internal teams.
  • Understand partner business goals, translating data into compelling stories and actionable insights.
  • Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends to internal teams and partners.
  • Lead the 'why Pinterest' conversation with advertisers to influence platform's role in their media mix.

As a Lead Client Partner, you’ll develop and grow relationships with client & agency partners, helping them utilize Pinterest to solve business challenges, and drive meaningful results. You'll collaborate on major initiatives and see them through to success, while being the primary contact for our partners at the highest level.

Pinterest is growing its team in Japan to work closely with businesses, including brands and retailers, to effectively reach and engage with audiences on the platform. It's an exciting time to join us. We are currently looking for a Lead Client Partners, to join our enterprise sales team.

Note: interviews for this role will be conducted in Japanese and English. Please submit an English language CV.

What you’ll do:

  • Retain, grow and diversify the value delivered to our partners, ultimately growing Pinterest revenue as a result
  • Advocate internally for the solutions required to drive business outcomes for these advertisers, working across internal teams such as Measurement & Insights, Product Marketing, Creative Strategy, etc.
  • Gain a deep understanding of our partners’ business goals and turn data into compelling stories and actionable insights to help them succeed
  • Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends internally and to partners
  • Specifically own the “why” Pinterest conversation with advertisers to influence the way they think about the platform’s role in their overarching media mix

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years experience in marketing/advertising/digital, with specific acumen across search, data and measurement
  • Established industry relationships and experience working with executive level business and marketing leaders within client organizations
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue goals
  • Ability to translate partner value across various levels, such as executive, operational, creative, media, and analytics teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through
  • Ability to interact with a broad set of businesses and presenting both over the phone and in person
  • Fluent in English and Japanese
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, a related field or equivalent experience

In-Office Requirement Statement:

  • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
  • As such, this role will need to be in the office or in front of our customers for in-person collaboration, typically 2 days per week, and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance to our Tokyo City based office.
