Job Summary
Job Description
As Lead Data Architect at Roof Stacks, you will modernize and optimize the existing BigQuery-based data warehouse (DWH) architecture, design and implement a new company-wide DWH infrastructure, and define and apply data governance strategies. Responsibilities include data modeling, database design, ETL/ELT pipeline design and optimization, technical leadership and mentorship of the Data and BI team, defining data quality and security standards, cross-functional team coordination, and establishing best practices. Roof Stacks is a rapidly growing technology company with offices across Turkey and the USA, working across various innovative technological domains.
Must have:

- Python & SQL proficiency
Good to have:
- Redshift or similar cloud DWH experience
- Knowledge of data security (KVKK/GDPR)

As Roof Stacks, we have been carrying out innovative projects since 2015. We aim to become a global actor in Tourism Systems, Extended Reality(AR/VR), Blockchain Technologies, Game Development, and Financial Technology, which are our areas of expertise.

Responsibilities
*Modernization and optimization of the existing BigQuery-based DWH architecture
*Designing and implementing a new DWH infrastructure company-wide
*Defining and applying data governance strategies
*Data modeling and database design
*Designing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines
*Providing technical leadership and mentorship to the Data and BI team
*Defining standards for data quality and security
*Coordinating with cross-functional teams
*Establishing and documenting best practices.
Required Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields
*Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture/engineering
*Extensive experience with BigQuery
*Experience with Redshift or similar cloud DWH systems
*In-depth knowledge of modern data stack tools
*Strong experience in data modeling and database design
*Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL
*Experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes
*Experience in managing technical teams
*Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
*Experience with data governance frameworks
*Experience with open-source ETL tools (e.g., Apache Airflow)
Preferred Qualifications
*Knowledge of data security and regulations such as KVKK/GDPR
*Experience with Agile methodologies
*Advanced proficiency in English
